I recently swapped my injectors by simply taking off the upper IC pipe and unbolting the top half of the intake manifold. Now mine was a bit annoying as I also wired in ev1 injector clips for my 560cc injectors. Doing it this way, I only replaced 1 gasket which was 11 bucks.

Is the hose still intact on the wastegate to compressor housing? If so, apply 8 psi to the wastegate and you should see or even feel the rod open the flapper in the turbine.
Stock elbow is like only putting your foot halfway down. Simply by changing elbows you'll pick up a few psi. With stock turbo and full exhaust and apexi intake filter, I could see 300ftlb at roughly 10 psi.
How can you tell if you need new bushings? The rear end of my car seems mushy and tends to wander at higher speeds, especially if there's a slight imperfection in the road.
Um, did you ever let the turbo break in before you started beating on it? I'm sure rebuilt turbos need a break in period before you really push them.
Have you pulled the downpipe and checked for seeping oil on the turbine?
Only thing I found annoying bout him was that he kept trying to push 1j on everyone, going into a 7m thread asking for help and he'd reply with 'go 1j'.
