How fast have you tried to run that trigger wheel? Do you know the rpm at which the CPS trigger wheel ran? I ask because somethings will become unbalanced at a certain rpm and will probably give you problems with a pick up sensory.

You can always run it to the 'on' position on your key switch if you're just looking for voltage to keep the relay hot.

if you did what i did, which is pulled voltage directly from the battery, the voltage going to the relay shouldnt matter.

And why can't you use the fpc to kick the relay on? It's strong enough at idle to kick on my 30a aftermarket relay on my mk3.

i dont know if a cht has ever been used on a mk3. i am going to be using one and yes, on cylinder 6 as it is the hottest cylinder. when you're driving you'll be able to see an average cht. and if it pulls too far from average, obviously something is wrong.

something you could add to catch a problem before it arises is cht sensors on the sparkplugs.
