LOL. This big rant just reminded me of a buddy's WRX. I think he fragged 2 transmissions just driving in traffic... still working on getting one of them replaced.
Umm, no part of that exhaust touches the turbo, its cat-back piping. The Tanabe exhaust is just that... a complete cat-back. Since you're clearly interested in being as cheap as possible you just need a fart can and a welder to make the Cooleeze complete.
I'm pretty sure it does, as Toyota has a spec for where proper idle should be. From what few I have researched its around 7-800 RPM depending on model.
It says in the manual of every boost referenced piece of electronic gadgetry I have to tap directly off the intake manifold. Whoever installed it is just an idiot.
Welp, then they all look like they belong on the other side of the car. My '89 non airbag is perfectly layed out right where your hands sit... so its not something I have ever noticed.
