Where did you get the carpet from? I want to buy one for my blue 88 1JZ. I am going to replace the carpet when I put in the Sparco Torino seats I have with sliders. How is the fitment? I don't want to order one from the generic places since I was not sure about fitment. Thanks.
.70 A/R with ten pounds at 3200 RPM. Stock cams but a ported head.
582 for the harness. My car was an 89+ which is a specific harness. There were only three left in the states when I ordered it about 2 years ago.
Don't worry, when Kenny comes to the east coast and is in the NY area, I will give him a drive in both JZ cars. Rest assure, I will have the Bayer ready along with the defibrillator ready. :D
When he returns to Washington, he will be taking one of my spare JZ engine's with him. :D
Poodles^
Poodles is right, checking the runoff will let you know but I had 7M cams and they looked bent, check them and they were in spec. Pulled them off after the break in to replace with bigger cams and they were fine. Bores were good on the head as well, no scratches either.
Like Poodles...
List and we will help you out. Take a look at the stickies there.

There is no way I would see the inner spring binding on the valve steam seal, if that was the case, it would of started to smoke horribly. Second, the dual springs are good for high lift cams and if you are revving a decent amount past the stock redline. If the valves were "tight," that is...
How were the valves "tight?". I had my machine shop, guy built a 1000HP Stingray Corvette, do the 7M head for me. It was +1 on the valves and comp springs and shimless buckets.
