Nice, let us know how it goes. I am no longer getting a 2JZ for my other Supra, just going to build another 1JZ I found. There is something about having a 1JZ and beating a 2JZ that I can't explain. :biglaugh:
If you do that, you would have to richen everywhere with a SAFC but it wouldn't make no sense.
That 2JZ-GE you are getting will be a good daily, just do a good job on refreshening it with a water pump, timing service and all gaskets while you have it out and you will be fine.
Don't run it...
1JZ no advantage? Care to take a ride in my 1JZ or Jostar can comment too. It has it's advantages, trust me. When you start getting upward of 650HP, it is best for a 2JZ, not because of the power level, but because the head flows better for those levels. You always have the option to build...
I like my inlines over V8's but the LS series is a well engineered motor. It is cheaply built from factory but the engineering that went into how those parts work together is really nice. I saw one at my machine shop.
You paid who to have them reduced to parking tickets? If you paid the cops, that would be bribery and I of pulled out my IPhone and then started recording the conversation, easy to do on the IPhone, and go to court, play the recording....
Just finished rebuilding my second R154. Hopefully my remainder of parts come in this week so I can finish off the engine. We are suppose to have temperatures of 50's and I have off on Monday for Presidents day. If I get my parts, I could have this baby in the car. No promises though. :(
I figured it out guys after looking at the EPC. I already rebuilt a second one and I just throw all the detents in a zip lock bag. I know how everything goes. Thanks. I did not take it apart, so I was figuring out what someone else did.
I took out those selectors over ten different times...
1)You leave all the ECU plugs intact. You take all the MK4/Aristo body plugs off and mate your MKIII body plugs to the MK4 harness.
2)The tach adapter is not need if you are doing a swap on a turbo model. The NA tach will need a resistor removed and there is a write up on here on how to do...
Nice. I want to get mine started but when I roll it on the lift, it will be to check out my R154 that I just rebuilt. I am waiting on HKS cams from Japan. I paid for the express service and it should be here this week, if not, I will be super mad and demand a refund for the express service...
Crush washer? There are no crush washers on the ISCV. It seals with a gasket and there is a one way check valve in the manifold. Are you talking about the crush washers on the fuel rail for the cold start injector line?
