You know, I STILL would pick an Ariel Atom over a GTR any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
If you have not ever seen the BBC Topgear episode that they test it on you really owe it to yourself to wander on over to youtube and watch it.
It's funny, it's amusing and most of the car is...
The porsche version of launch control also monitors the running temps and prevents you from activating it until the temps are back down to levels that are acceptable. So basically they also include the feature but unlike nissan they know people will use it and have designed it NOT to have a...
I've been looking for those side skirts, specifically the part just behind the front fender for some time now. What bodykit/where did you get those and what are they called?
Looks really sweet man, very nice!
Yup, it appears that the factory includedc feature in the GTR, Lauch Control, is not to actually be used because if you do and you have any problems with your tranny you can expect to pay the $20K bill for a new tranny yourself.
Seriously, why offer this feature if your not supposed to use...
This is exactly what got me started on my entire spot welding marathon in the first place.
The formost front brace that run side to side in front of the egine rad and justbehind your intercooler on my car had popped it's spot welds on on side of the car, can't remember if it were right or...
This is eactly why I took the opportunity to carefully drill through the top layer of sheetmetal inbetween every spot weld in my car last winter when I had it totally stripp bare.
Then I carefully and never near the same place twice welded basically almost double the number of spot welds on...
Ya, it was the intercooler itself, the stock one on a 7m.
I guess this would make the car essentially be without any type of intercooling, alot like one of the lower early models of the Audi TT. My friend had one, turbosharged but not intercooled stock. Weird......
But he was convinced...
Correct me if I am wrong here but this would not be a good idea at all.....
I saw one today at the gas station in someone's car and they seemed to miss my point about it not being at all helpful to the intercoolers purpose in life.
Or am I totally wrong here?
Mines only a 1 piece now due to integrating the side pieces smoothly into the fenders.
But if you are really desperate I have two parts cars with them I can part with.
I'm a personal friend of Reg Reimer's here in Calgary and I know for a fact that he has had new heads and blocks in a unassembled and never before assebled states brand new and they did not all meet his approval for smooth enough. Some have been though.
A nice pic would clear everything up...
LOL, thats such a perfect way to describe it, I think he in one of those endlessly list all one one page in a row without anyorder at all, describes it himself that way.
LOL
I'm the original owner of my 1990 mkiii and for ALL of these years up to present day I have run the same tranny without any problems at all.
for 15 of those years I have been running a 480RWHP(and more in recent years) motor and this includes an uncountable amount of friday night 1/4" runs...
Holy crap!
Been doing a few hours research on those grooves in the head he has done, and it appears that they do infact possibly add positive result to the motor.
Now god only knows if he is doing them correctly at all but the concept has been patented and is more widely used than I could...
Did you really go through the whole thread because it has stopped running twice!
LOL
I love the shot of the turbo it ate, likely due to the 1 piece no flex badly welded IC piping, LOL.
That thread had me in tears it's so funny. I cannot believe it ran at all even so briefly.
My...
I don't think this is the intake that will not fit LHD. The one that doesn't fit has longer runners I believe. I have that one that will not fit. I made it fit though by slightly "bashing" in a dent on the brake booster. I of course could be wrong about that intake of course but I think it...
Yup, I got a brand spanking new GT4088R on the way. Since I have no chance of beating the snow this year I am now taking my time on the selection of injectors (1000cc), Fuel Pump (leaning heavily towards a sard), exhast header (not at all sure yet but really would like an all equal length one...
Anyone who has ever blown an intercooler coupling and then tried to step on it again knows exactly how.......yuck.......it feels. The first time I ever had a clamp slip off I had just picked up my car after getting a t76 for the first time over stock.
Well I made it about 2 Km and just as I...
