The airbox works great. The only air that gets to it is from outside. So moving the filter out more would not be necessary. I am planning on doing some sort of write up on it. The materials I used were, ABS plastic sheet, aluminum "L" stock, and lexan (for the lid). I should be able to get...

Tare down starts tomorrow. Jarco called and said to pull it and they will fix it. But I am going to keep the oil pan on it for shipping. So I won't find out whats wrong until they contact me. Then I have to find some way to crate this thing up to protect it. Mail order...

Yes, as mentioned, tape the area to be cut. What I cut mine with was a dremel with a "fiber glass" metal cutting disk. I also used an angle grinder with a metal blade for some of the cuts. Hint: Don't cut all the way through the rubber line. Just go around the out side and cut the SS braid...

I have yet to pull the motor, so I don't really know yet. But others have pointed at the fact that the crank was turned, and they probably removed too much (basically the crank was not reusable, but they used it anyway) That is all assumption at this point. I will know more when I pull it and...

Thanks Arron, but the bad thing is, I don't have forged pistons. They are just larger OEM pistons. Also, it seams to get louder every time I run it, and it gets louder as the motor gets warm. In the video, the engine is warmed up. (190-195)

Yeah I have yet to restart it, I did pull the plugs, and it seem to be louder coming from #6. But it's hard to tell

No they wouldn't tell me the brands on the parts, I asked (mainly about the pistons) But they just said "OEM quality".......um yeah, now it seems I should have been more persistent.

Also, when I drain my oil I will be looking for metal, and dragging the oil draining container with a magnet to find any metal. If I find metal in the oil, does this mean the fresh rebuilt turbo is toast? Or would the filter catch all it? I just need to know so I can bring that up when I...
