Um no, that pic is not an M3 E30. The M3 had different: fenders, trunk lid set up, 5 lugs, and spoiler. as in the pic below. If you guys do this, keep us informed!

The EGT I'm using is an Autometer, and the tread is a 1/8" NPT. The only place local that I could find NPT taps was at ACE hardware.

Yes you can thin it with acetone, it will not effect the cure time, but a little can help with wet out. To speed up the cure, use heat. Heat lamps work good. If you need a slow cure, (usually for larger projects, and vacuum bagging) you need to use an epoxy resin, they usually come in 20, 60...
