my car was idling fine at 650 2 days ago, I just fired it up and it sat at 1k for a while and I was hoping it would go down but it didn't, so I tapped the throttle and it still just dropped back to around 1k. Should I just check my vaccum lines and ISC and TPS? It's kinda bugging me. I'm also...
anybody know where I can get new shims so the cam's will stop ticking? and how hard are they to install? I read the TSRM and it doesn't seem difficult but I don't want to get myself into something that's gonna take me a lifetime.
Anybody?
I recently found out that the pre 89 and the 89+ accordian pipes are NOT the same. I'll try to get a pic, but one of the hoses that comes out of the top is at a different angle.
Back when I had my saturn I was at the grocery store and I witnessed some stupid kid back RIGHT INTO my car as I was yelling to stop. I was standing in the parking lot talking to a friend. The kid started pulling away and I ran up and stopped him before he left so I could check my car. Lucky...
I think mine are the stock speakers (look like carbon fibre) are they any good? (besides the fact that mine look trashed haha) I have the door panels off and I was thinking about replacing them. I don't even know if the ones in there work or not because I still have the stock radio (89) and it...
whether it works or not, the extra money is peace of mind to some people. Red coolant, green coolant, blue orange black purple beige...who cares what coolant haha. I have def. heard a lot of good things about the water wetter though. Maybe somebody should do a test :)
not sure about the actual head but one of the cams is different. Putting that n/a cam that's different into the turbo head is said to give some power gains? or maybe it was just a little different powerband. Not sure.

I have an 87 turbo 5spd that I'm probably gonna begin parting out here as soon as I know my 89 is running properly and I don't need any of the parts. ECU, wiring harness, ignitor, cps all worked great when the car ran. (needs a new cps cap and seal which is like $10 for both)
PM me if you're...
We can't remember for the life of us if it was ticking on the old block. Probably because we bought the car, drove it onto the trailer, then drove it off and right into the garage for disassembly. It doesn't seem to be smoking now, so i'm thinking after a few laps around the house (no plates or...

So, since I usually don't post on here, but there's more people on this website and I need info, I'll give ya'll the low-down.
Purchased an 89 turbo auto with a rebuilt head (to factory specs with new parts). Pulled the engine (blown rings) and slapped the new head on my 87 engine, attached...
