Come on dude...try a little harder. Isn't the glove box and tach on the same side of the firewall?

That's for a 1990 and later model year. KS will have to be cut and the karman in/out spliced. Power and ground are self explanatory. IG is found on the igniter and tach, not the ECU.
91: Beat me at what? ;)
Makes no sense. If the line was plugged the EGR was already disabled so how did you disabling it prior help? And why are you not testing the system per the manual? One of us is corn-fuzed....
Yep, that's good advice. I may have busted his balls a bit but when someone makes an effort to learn and tries to intelligently help themselves I'll be one of the first to get behind them.

You have no idea how much these EGR threads amuse me. They're pure gold.
Edit: beaten by 3p. Better pic too!
Props for learning how it works and trying to troubleshoot it properly but you shouldn't have to go through all that. If the tach moves when cranking odds are the igniter is good. If you're getting injection the CPS is working. The coil packs can and wiring can be tested separately using the...
EGR flow at idle will indeed cause problems however disabling it and seeing improvement indicates the valve is functional. Since EGR is already disabled at idle by ported vacuum you may want to check if it's plumbed correctly.
Looks like Google got it right.

Nothing comes on? battery, anti-lock, mil, nothing? If so it's not the relay.
It'd blow even less if you had the valve.
Orion: You obviously have a high tolerance for laziness, failure to RTFM, lack of critical thinking, and outright stupidity. All of which, though always in great supply here, are of late off the chart. But don't worry, with age you'll lose it.
Well, you could always test it. Ohm from the ant to cable end and ant to ground. Or test the cable by itself. Look for continuity of the center conductor and shorts from center to shield.
More than that:
