Hey you'll, I am trying to see if anyone in the Tampa area might by chance have a oil pan and or a pair of engine mount stands (left and right post 89) that I can borrow or even if it came to it, rent for a few days for a small fee. I am needing them (oil pan and mount stands) to make a gig...
you dont have to remove the hearliner and brackets to change the rears. if you push them in as if they where threaded in (compressing the spring) you will see an E-clip that keeps them from popping out remove it and the pop right out. to remove the fronts you have to pull the interior trim and...
I have seen both bent/warped drive flanges and or bearing cause this although it is rare, it is most likely one or the other. an easy way to tell if it is a bearing is to take the wheel off and put a couple of nuts back on to holf the rotor on tight and see if you can grab the top and bottom and...
just like the picture shows, from the under side of the unit. just remove the intake pipe and you should have no problem reaching down from the top to do it. It shouldn't be that tight cause it is a taper thread and will only take a little bit of work with the wrench and will unthread the rest...
if someone swaped the entire 2JZ-GE distributor into a 7M head then yeah it will work fine, but I dont think that the 2J cap and rotor will fit on the 7M distrubitor.
here are some pics
1st = 7M cap
2nd = 2JZ cap
3rd = 7M rotor
4th = 2JZ rotor
ok, I just went back and reread what was written again and now I understand what you are doing so forget my last post in asking what exactly you are doing. Yes the CPS will fit into the 2JZ-GE head. Like I said, forget about the term 2JZ and think of it as a 7M or for that matter a "new design...
I misread your statement in the first post. Yes you can run the 7M-GTE CPS in the 2JZ-GE head but by eliminating the distibutor, you have to disperce the spark correctly and the only way to to that would be to run a complete 7M-GTE engine managment system (CPU, harness, related electronics) or...
NO, it cant be done. The 2JZGE Ing. system basicly the same as the 7MGE Ign. system. I computer does not feed the IGDA and IGDB signal that is needed for the ignitor to work correctly.
Actually the big three (Aeroquip, Earl's, and Russel) all make reusuable screw together fittings that are designed for brake and High pressure applications look at thier website and or thier catologs. I have used them many of times without any problems what so ever. Although I am not saying to...
does it have a black tracer or a green tracer? If black, it hooks to the oil pressure sender. If its a grean tracer then it hooks to the water temp sensor. Both are for the gauges unless it is not a factory wire. those are the only two yellow wires that I can think of that would be over there...
Bad idea, yeah the bottom of the car will never rust, but you will end up with a nasty grimly mess under it in a period of time. Not to mention that as the motor wears and you get more and more blow by you get more and more or a mess. Also if you live in a state that has inspection, then it has...
Hey man, give these guys a shout. I used them on a couple of accasions cause they are local, plus I was happy with the price and workmanship. The name of the place is CMR Turbos and there number is (813)978-8872
you did remember to unbolt the pressure plate correct? remember R154's will not come out without unbolting the pressure plate from the flywheel cause of the release bearing.
As for the noise, that sounds exactly like my motor did after spinning a rod bearing at around 6500rpm's and the motor...
