Find out exactly what thread and pitch the hole in back is currently.
Then consider this:
The tap in the M10 kit is a 12mmX1.25 thread pitch, at least that's the bolt it screws into. This allows you to put the insert in capable of taking the 10mm 1.25thread studbolt.
Your rear hole may...
If he tracked it down to the "harness", just get the soldering iron out and repair it. May take some time to track down the break, but it's probably right at one end of the harness at the connector or somewhere where it makes a hard sharp turn or rubs against something. Get the ohm meter out...
That's pretty good time.
You're lucky it's just one and that one is probably one of the easiest to get to. You may be lucky again, and get away with just doing that one. But who knows, when putting things back together again, torquing down - 22 ft/lb btw - you find another stripped bolt. May...

There is a diode on the SPDT relay for use on the Ignition wire when using a tt.
The two diodes I mentioned are on the "FCTRY ALARM ARM" and "FCTRY ALRM DISARM" - (with red circles around them)
Be sure to put the Anode on the engine wiring side and the Cathode on the after market alarm side...
