    Lumpy Idle?

Might want to pop over and take a look at the online repair manual, and find how to test the temp. sensor and idle motor. Also tells you how to check for codes, but you have to dig through it a little. Going to Toyota and ordering the manual so you have one to keep in your car is a good...

    Experiences with Ford diesel products?

Lol, here I am!! 6.0 powerjoke is a pile. Egr coolers blow gaskets, heads blow gaskets. Both make huge messes, with water in the oil, and vice versa. I see many of them getting injectors before 100k. My neighboring shop is "PowerStroke Specialists." They work on more "sick O's" then...

    Best newb question ever

^^ I could, almost, see that happening. He probably stuck the rag in there, and the cam or rocker arms snatched it. I found a full tube of silicone under the intake on a 350 in a Chevy p/u. It had to have been there quite a while, as oil was cooked to the outside, and the silicone was hard...

    Fixing ACIS...

Its really hard to see, from the top or bottom. Look in the f/s section for someone in your area parting out an n/a, and see if you can go take a peek. If the intake is off, you'll be able to see it easy.

    BIlstien struts

I'm going on my second set of Bilstien's(stock springs) in the front in a little less than a year. The rest of the suspension is solid. Lower c.a. bushings are new, all 4 ball joints have been replaced, and the upper c.a. bushings are in good shape. Upper mounts were in good shape when I...

Blown Head Gasket After Effects (Sludge)

Should. Would really depend on what you're trying to remove. I'm not really sure how well it would work on hard deposits and scaling. Ask your teacher, he should know, or just give it a try. Any cleaning is better than none at all.

    How much $$ for resurface?

You sure that's not having the head rebuilt? They're cleaning, resurfacing, and doing a valve job on mine for $280. Maybe clean and prep for the block, with all new freeze plugs, could run that much. Not sure though, haven't had mine done yet.

Engine hesitation and miss. New engine

Timing issue. Check the marks on the timing belt. There's a thread in general discussions(I think), where JJ talks about how the ecu has a basic set of parameters to use when it doesn't see a sensor. Kinda like a limp mode. You've unplugged and run the car enough times without the afm, that...

    oil pump pick up mod

If you have the motor on a stand, flip it upside down. Put a plastic baggie over the pick up screen, and put a block of clay on top of that. Put the pan on, with at least 2 bolts on each side to pull it down firmly to the block. Pull the pan, and measure the spuished clay.

Before you add any Lucas, or Valve Medic, or anything thicker that 10w-40, please, please read this thread: http://www.supramania.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=108 In there, you will find out why this is a BAD idea.

Blown Head Gasket After Effects (Sludge)

That's also what happens to a poorly maintained coolant system. Bet you've been adding water for a while. I took out the plug for the coolant drain in the block(mid way down block, around cyl.6, exhaust side), and hosed it out with a high pressure nozzle. Started at the front of the block...

    Fixing ACIS...

ACIS lag? j/k The coolant line for the ISC valve runs under there to. Could be heat from the coolant has slightly melted one of the vacuum lines under there if they where touching, either putting a pin hole in it, or maybe collapsing it. Just a thought.
