I'm not using cheaper parts, i'm using the same parts and i'm doing the labor.
Not all turbos are created equal. That's like saying all snowflakes are identical.
I can't wait til the CT26 option becomes available. Once and for all the people that are happy with stock power levels can have something reliable.. like this guy.
No, because I am using name brand proven pieces for the transmission. I am just not paying someone the labor to install them :) That's 90% the cost of a built transmission. It's alot of hours of labor thats very easy, but just alot of it, as long as you are good at following directions. If...
IF you like 1UZ's, go on soarercentral.com, there is a 7sec 1/4mi 1UZFE Soarer on there. Ok, its a full tube chassis drag car with a Soarer fiberglass body. But it is a turbo 1UZFE that run's 7s
Easy way to tell if you have bad grounds....
Hit the brakes or turn the turn signals on. Do your dash lights go dim? If so.. bad ground.
To me, sounds like you have cracked coils. Everyone does lol just some are worse then others
The problem is the 2JZ map sensor. The car ECU wasn't designed for it. My friend Al in his 1jz SC with stock injectors and ECU has the same damn problem.
It's just another one of those mod's that don't do anything except hurt performance. Running right, your car at 18psi, you should have...
IF your running a 5spd tranny car. That's normal.
If your automatic, it's a tuned ecu.
Doesn't get much easier then that. If you want me to explain I will.
Because, I have the list of parts and their vendors used to build them. Putting it together is simply following an instruction manual just like anyone making 9/hr at AMMCO can do from the streets. Powerhouse wants $300??+ bucks for the clutch disks, I got them direct for $120.
You do know...
mk3 resistor pack.
Put the 3 thin wires to the injector power wires going to the injectors. Pair them up.. Put one of the power wires that you cut to the big wire of the mk3 resistor box, cap the rest off. Done.
Theres an image for it somewhere.
I'm actually building a "BL" built auto on my own. Raybestos makes the clutch packs and bands to hold the power, and I made the shims. MV automatics in Australia makes a nice modified valve body. With a couple hundred invested and alot of late nights in the garage, I should have a nice 340...
I used the MKIII injector resistor pack. Alot cleaner and smaller then the MKIV one.
If your not running a fuel ECU, the car won't be driveable without one with the 550's in.
