Finally got a baseline dyno on this new motor. Not too bad.
The 1JZ is running only on the Stinger standalone @ 8 psi, the 7M off stock ECU + VPC + AFC Neo @ 16 psi.
Identical turbo setup (60-1 ct26, BIC DDP), 550cc injectors. Both motors were complete rebuilds.

Rodknock was what killed my 7M. I was even on the verge of installing the Stinger to really see what my motor was capable of. Sadly, I didn't get the chance. I don't hate the platform, maybe I'll build another one someday. The opportunity presented itself where I was able to get a built block...
It was readily available... remember, I didn't have a complete clip to start with... just a block and then a head (not even turbos or manifolds). Keeping most of the parts, which were new during the 7M rebuild (turbo, radiator, shroud, dp) was the most convenient solution.
Always assume the car in front of you is at some point going to cut you off, then you place yourself far enough back that you're prepared for it. If you don't put yourself in a situation where it'll most likely happen, then you most likely won't have that problem.
I find it hard to believe this...
