Voltage on Vf and E1. O2 sensor can be checked on either OX and E1 or Vf and E1 when T and E1 are connected and the throttle is off idle. For O2 measurement the meter needs to record and average. What you're doing is checking for pirate air.
Being lean at idle is completely safe. Truth is...
Crack me up about the K&N.
Some engines need even more of the lower chamber blocked. It's one reason there was an aftermarket screw. That said what's Vf doing? What's the average voltage of the stock O2 sensor? And you know that, as long as the engine isn't into lean misfire, being lean at...
So much nonsense has been written about how to reset the stock alarm I've lost track of it all. Doing what the owner's manual says is correct and will always work.
Remove the diodes. Don't need them. Otherwise what you have there should work. Check to see if the shock sensor trigger goes low when activated. Course, you can also ground that line (while still connected to pin 7)) to see if it triggers the alarm. One or the other isn't doing its thing...
Welcome. With the stock setup the pump won't continue to run unless the engine starts but that doesn't apply to you. Far be it from me to deny anyone the opportunity of becoming a crispy critter after a collision but if it were me I'd add that safety back using an RPM or inertia switch. Either...
The stock ECU controls the fuel pump but doesn't care if it gets power from elsewhere. There's no feedback ie; it doesn't 'know' if the pump is running or not. And that code you mentioned isn't valid for a stock ECU. I suggest troubleshooting by using the TSRM and TEWD. Based on your symptoms...
Bottom line is the OP can't possibly pass California emissions without it. As for the rest it has already been very well stated: some people just don't know.
