    AC question.

Jet, they might have changed it in the later cars. I did get a 51 every time I did a code scan before I went stand alone unless I did exactly what I said before and the same on my buddies car which was a 91. I can not recall whether or not this was the case on the earlier cars. I dont see why...

supercharged idea, help me with this

yeah, it does sound kinda panzi-ass when you say it in that context, but then again, think about this name "Disco Potato" and yet it is a pretty bad-ass little turbo for small displacment engines.

active tach/speedo idea...help me with this

The digital output is from the speedo head unit and is just a magnetic reed switch. One 12v pulse per rev of the speedo cable. Another way of looking at it is 1000 pulse per mile, of there abouts. It is used in the ECU and for the cruise control system.

    AC question.

Jet, that is backwards. According to the TSRM, if you get a "51" then you have no "IDL" signal, "NSW" signal or "A/C signal to ECU during diagnostic check. You can do it like Jet said through the Diag block, but if the car is a manual trans then make sure that the clutch peddle is...

supercharged idea, help me with this

yeah, I guess that you could put the charger on the right side next to the Exh. Manifold. The one that I saw somewhere (cant remember where) had the charger sitting where the intake plenum is. Basically a stock lower intake with a box plenum welded to is similar to the way that some build FFI's...

active tach/speedo idea...help me with this

Well I guess that it would be possible but you would have to use either digital or LCD number readouts on the gauge face cause the scaling of the numbers would have to constantly change every time you shift and the speedo computer that would have to be built would have to know what gear you are...

    ct-26 is a t3?

What are you meaning by that? I have used two of them and didn't have to machine anything. They are working perfect.

supercharged idea, help me with this

Well Like I said before, I honestly think that its a waste of time and money, but I will say this. Its not that hard to do as long as he goes with a something along the lines of the whipple charger. It will only requier the alt. to be relocated and a custome intake mani to be made along with...

    ct-26 is a t3?

NO, totally different flange and bolt patteren Well actually you could, but you would need to buy one of the turbonetics turbine housings. They have a turbine housing that is basically a CT-26 housing that has been redesigned to use a T3 turbine wheel and a Garrett center bearing section.

supercharged idea, help me with this

All the bad experiances that you had with turbo'ed engines are still going to be there with a supercharger with the exception of turbo seize. 99% of engine damage when dealing with any type of forced induction is due to tuning. The other thing is that I highly doubt that you throw a rod due to...

    Walbro Install now Running lean?

Millon-mile job?:icon_surp The fuel filter should be changed once a year or every 12,000 to 15,000 miles.

    Walbro Install now Running lean?

This is strange, there is probably some form of restriction before the injectors cause any restriction after like the FPR and the J-tube will cause a high pressure and therefore more fuel, not less.

    AC ???

Best bet is to evac it out then fill it. One thing to note especially being that you are using R134A is to fill it based on pressures not by weight. R134 actually causes higher high side head pressures and needs to have a reduced volume by around 20% to 25% less then what the original volume of...

    Gaaaah, help! KS/Starter woes...

Not totally F'ed, but you will be better off pulling the rest off and reassembling it on a bench. It is hard to line up the pieces when you cant see what you are doing.

    AC ???

That is normal. The Clutch cycles for a number of reason. IJ (Ian) is correct, and Nick is also. It will also cycle off if the Highside Head Pressure gets to high.

    Odd cruise problem

The system works perfect once it turns on. The problem like I stated earlier is that when you turn the switch on, the system does not turn on right away and the delay actually varies anywhere from 30sec. to 10 min. before it finally turns on.

    Odd cruise problem

Jet, yeah the relay works perfect. So the only thing that I can come up with is the CPU itself. The thing that bogles my mine is why does it actually come one after a short while. Its like its waiting for something like an input signal from something, but all the signals are working plus there...

    Flames out of the exhaust?

Its not a good idea to do it on purpose. on race cars and main turbochargered race cars, its done on purpose to help keep the turbo spooled during deceleration. It is actually programmed to do that by richening the mixture and retarding the timing during deceleration thus sending burning fuel...

    Odd cruise problem

Jet: Yeah sorry about that. I guess that it would have helped if I said that it was a 90 model year, and Jeffs pictured shows it in the tach not the speedo my mind wasnt thinking straigt when I typed that before.

    Odd cruise problem

No, I am refering to the green LED light in the dash in the Speedo head unit to be more exact that tells you when the CC system is turned on. There is no light in the switch or no relay. There is a seperate power relay under the dash next to the CC computer, but it tests fine. I am pretty sure...
