I'd go 7mgte in your case. Which i did. Less hassle to get it up and running granted you do all the work your self plus rebuilding anything you want which you mentioned you want to tear it down and build it back up. Plus, dropping it in with all the available parts (harness, mounts, transmission...
When my supra was stock, 7mgte swap in to NA Auto, i was getting 28-20 MPG. It all depends on how you drive and how often you boost. Just calculate your MPG from full to empty with the miles written down.
If you're talking about the little bulb that light up the switches? If so i think they're LED and i've seen others did brighter LED replacements on those.
89. No cup holders because it was taken out. All the supra came with cup holders as far as i know and the ones i have owned 86.5-91. Probly was taken out at some point.
Looked like u had a very clean 7M. I was confused to why you were trying to pull the head off if you're pulling the motor anyway? Why is it on a flat bed? Going to the shop where its getting the swap done i assume? And the pics of the 1jz...hanging backward in an engine bay confused me even...
I'd have one of these on my car if it has the right amount of power to effectively put these wings to use. Good luck tho, don't mind the opinions of others, it's not like you just want some huge wings just because.
I've heard they're still available. But not really sure. Maybe i'll search for parts numbers. I'd totally buy your set of clear sides but I don't have the clear corners and they wouldn't look too well with the Euro corners i have...
Unless someone has pics of Euro corners + clear side markers.
Where are all the pre 89ers. They were all about getting a lip for their front end and were complaining about not enough aftermarket lips and such for the pre 89s :(
Sorry i own a 91 now and not interested but i agree with you that the East Bear lip is too big for the car and mainly people run...
im so jealous of you :( spare me one :) i have a red 91 with the leather gray interior, but would love to own a 92 leather interior. If i ever own a 92 it will most likely to stay stock...
Pretty sure i will mod it anyway haha
Good find!
shouldn't you be replacing/ fix that P/S issue first :p?
Back to topic, sounds like bad fan clutch. Does anyone have a good one around you that you can use to test, process of elimination can save some $ and time :)
