    hp gains question...

rwhp is different than hp... factory numbers are at the crank. rw = at the rear wheels.

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

Gotcha :icon_bigg .... I was just making sure, because when I go to a motorcycle shop and see all the new shiny bikes, I usually end up buying something right away, lol :3d_frown:

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

Just a quick question - have you ridden at all before? If not, why not take the class first? They provide the bikes, and you can get a better handle on if you are even going to enjoy riding. I know far too many people who own bikes just because it is something to have. They buy new bikes...

    Safe to "bake" turbo?

That's why you just don't go out and drive it. You need to let it idle and cool down a few times before you do a "final" curing with a longer drive. There is no point coating a turbo exhaust with a product that has a temperature rating of 1200. The obvious problem is that the EGT's are...

    Safe to "bake" turbo?

If you want to cure it properly on the car you need to do more than just heat it up. You need to do a series of cool-downs as well. You may be able to find exact directions for the product you used, but the typical sequence is as follows: 1. Let idle for 10 minutes. 2. Let cool for 10...

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

Although I am set firmly in the belief that it is better to start small, there are certain bikes that it doesn't much matter. I don't look at R6 or a ZX6 as starter bikes. If that is what you consider a starter bike, than go ahead and opt for the 1000cc variant. The ZX10 and R1 are so close...

ebay recirculated DDP - fitment and specs?

They will coat it in base 1300 sterling for $70, 1700 extreme sterling for $120, and JET HOT 2000 for $150. The extreme is probably suitable, but I do things a little overkill. As the temp rating goes up, the finish gets more gritty/less shiny. The 1700 is pretty much the same as most...

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

I suggest the people getting the big bikes go out to a track. You'll see just how much easier it is to ride a 600 compared to your liter bike, as novices pass you by. If you don't think this has anything to do with street riding, think again.

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

Ric, I applaud you that you've never dropped your bike before, But the fact is, for most people - it's going to happen. It's even more likely that it will happen when you are new to riding. A smaller bike is easier to control and handles better - I don't know anybody who disputes this...

ebay recirculated DDP - fitment and specs?

There is a secondary o2 bung for a wideband installation. It comes with a plug already in it. You don't need to use it, but a wideband is a great thing to have!

ebay recirculated DDP - fitment and specs?

Well, I got the DP today. I won't be able to comment on fit yet, as I won't be installing it for about a week. As far as quality, it's top-notch. The welds are perfect, and it seems like it's going to provide pretty good flow-through. It looks to be the same exact thing as the ZW my friend...

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

You think that may be one of the reasons it was easier for you to start out on a bigger bike? As I said before, my first bike was an 1100xx. But, I borrowed a friends 500 while I was learning, it was a much easier bike to ride. Maybe this newb's first bike should be a hayabusa, we can...

    Sports Bike....I have questions.

My first bike was a 1100xx, followed shortly by a k1200rs. But, I did learn on smaller bikes borrowed from friends. The best thing you could do is to take a MSF, and then sign up for a few novice-level track days. The only problem with track days is that once you do enough of them, you...

    Photoshop CS3

That was cropped out of the homepage of the website I created for Chi2k7 (which, as of now, isn't being used). It is OneJoeZee's car (he gave permission for the use of the picture) cut onto a great picture of the Chicago Skyline. A few effects were used to pull it all together. OneJoeZee's...

ebay recirculated DDP - fitment and specs?

What did I say that was untrue? I simply stated I thought it was a better deal (even though the same price) through 935 motorsports. The main reasons being that they are an authorized vendor on this forum and I have done business with them before. I buy many things on ebay, but all things...
