Yes, you are splitting hairs and are misunderstanding me :icon_razz. I know what the first number refers to etc., but my point with the 10w-30 being thicker was comparing it to the ideal viscosity number of 10 @ 100 deg C, not comparing to the 5w version.
Also, at the time of purchase, 0w and...
This is only partly true. Yes, 9/10 problems with MkIIIs can be attributed to the owners--most of which are previous owners, but from what I've seen, thats not the whole story.
Missinformation and ignorance spreads like warm butter. Because of the head gasket issue, 7Ms are the butt of many...
Actually I think the majority that are still around actually are still all original. The ones I see on the road rarely have more than basic mods like intake and exhaust, and there are TONS not on the road :icon_razz
In either case, I agree completely with restomod being a far better choice...
Thanks for that link. I'm thought there have been changes to the makeup of the oils since my initial research, but a quick freezing cold trip to the garage shows that I do have 6 quarts of API SL spec oil and not SJ spec like I thought it was. I believe the reason I thought this had a bit to do...
I've thought the same thing. I'm tempted to use one of these 04-06 7 series steering wheels I have sitting around from when I worked at BMW. One of them was swapped out only because they wanted the wood trim steering wheel instead; the other I cant remember, but neither are damaged. All they are...
Haha I know, but it saves me the trouble from spending hours on making one myself :p
I once went in the lab and spent 6 hours on just a compressor housing, and its still not finished. SolidWorks is tricky, but one of the best.
Nah, when I first saw it, I had photoshop 5 myself.
Also, instead of a Cummins diesel, why not just make the 7M run off of diesel; its halfway there anyways! :p
One thing I'd like to do one day is buy a front-totalled MkIV and weld a MA71 front clip to it. Because many people agree, this looks...
Its not exactly noticeable, and who the crap keeps their car stock anyways? Thats literally not good for the car!
I have a Supermonitor, but it doesnt work :(. I can only assume its not hooked up somehow, because it has never been "on." One day I'd like to fix that.
89+ had better blocks...
88 is definitely the best year. People can argue but I will always think this.
...is 1988. This is why:
☼: Earlier Supras are lighter than later ones
☼: They are also more common (or rather, more were made)
☼: 6M crank
☼: Best pre89 spoiler. 86.5, 87, and N/A 89s...
IIRC, this oooollldd picture was originally a MkII. At any rate, the legend goes that someone parked the truck in that spot, took a picture, then parked a Supra in the spot, took a picture again, and photoshopped it.
This is looking very promising and I hope it all goes through well. This is an important topic for us 7M guys!
I would personally rather have a longer runner design, but I understand that implementation of fitment of this would add complexity and fitment would be even more of an issue.
I...
No kidding, TRD stuff has always been waaay overpriced and priced many times more what its worth.
It was a boyhood dream of mine to get a job working at TRD and make TRD cars as a side brand that people wanted and were GREAT to drive. Oh well lol.
Also, I've held a (supposedly) TRD Celica...
I wanted to add my 2 in Hg to this thread.
A while back, I did a bunch of research after hearing that maybe Mobil 1 wasnt the best, which is what I always believed. In fact, my Supra still has M1 15w-50 in it right now as its been sitting for a few years. I changed the oil when I got it to M1...
Yeah, I know what you mean. Too often I've seen parts look great in release photos, then when people take pictures of it installed in the real world etc., it ends up looking very different.
Until I see something in person from a bunch of angles etc., I will never be 100% satisfied. Its...
It is possible that the Brembo blanks are outsourced anyways. Quite often, if there's a bunch of choices on the same part and they look the same, they really are all the same part from the same original place.
It is. It doesnt physically fit in the tub; it doesnt go anywhere because its wedged in there so well!
Yeah I guess that makes me the typical MkIII owner, even if I'm not daily driving one right now :biglaugh:
And yes, its a passenger seat from the Supra.
Haha, so because I didnt even bother trying to color match the bumper with the rest of the car because of how different the shades and colors are, you like it because its like the real two tone cars :biglaugh:
