    Excess metal removal

Honesty destipe my recent behavior. I feel the structural argument is all but non extistant. Now beleive that I have made no such modification withoutthe strict rulings based on keeping eveyrmember of the said structural peice within reason given the progranda soon to follow. If more...

    Excess metal removal

I was thinking of what weight I could cut out off my Supra without reducing structural integrity much if at all. I figure I can remove substantial weight by just cutting it out. I would like some other opinions on removing the radiator support framed by the red line in the picture attached...

    Sheet Metal Help

I have a fuel cell mounted in my trunk. I cut the floor of the trunk out and mounted the cell is basically the same spot as the stock fuel tank. Of course, I need some sheet metal to form a bit of a "firewall" between the cockpit and the fuel cell. I was thinking of doing something like in...

    Jake's mkIII V8 killer

Sounds like you have a decent base for making a good amount of power. You shouldn't have any trouble whipping up on stock Corvettes, Vipers, Mustangs, F-Bodies etc. However I wouldn't underestimate anyone of those modded.

    Jake's mkIII V8 killer

I put the V8 in my Supra because it was lighter than stock, aftermarket parts more attainable and cheaper, no more turbo and lots of low-rpm torque. Plus, at the point I was at with my 7M I was going to need a new turbo, fuel system, piggy back etc. It probably cost me close to the same to put...

I'm from Burnsville/Apple Valley Minnesota. You care to try and kill my V8?

Q for all u wheel techs

For 8.5" you 30mm offset would be preferred to a 35mm offset. Really though, i'd want even less offset. Perhaps 20mm.

    1990 N/A supra build

Those fender flares are actually pretty cool. How much wider are those flares supposed to make the body? Just look at any wheel combination someone else has on a Supra for the right width/offset to math your flares. For instance I run 17x9.0 with a 24mm offset on my Supra and it is basically...

    rear suspension question

So once his engine develops a miss he may as well replace all moving parts and gaskets as is will be good after that? Whether or not a Supra has struts and how many of them is argueable. However, a Supra does not have "MacPherson" struts. I mentioned sway bar components because I would have...

    rear suspension question

First two things I would check are your sway bar bushings and your sway bar links. You wouldn't beleive the amount of noise those can make when they get worn. I used to work on Ford Super Duties and when those had worn front sway bar bushings you would swear the whole front-end was barely...

    Speedo Cable Year/Model Differences

I Guess the verdict is to try a speedo cable off of another Supra to prove your's is broken/faulty somehow. Beyond that, if your speedometer begins to work lets everyone forget the "pleasantries" that all mechanics know.

    Rad Fan Controllers

EBay is where I found my fan, I'lllet everyone else learn from the experience. But a note about water, it is non-conductive to electricity. The only way one can claim H20 conducts any electricity is to claim it is not pure.

    tuning

There are tons of guys who "know how to tune". I'll place my rep on two places maybe. Message me for their names.

    Silicone or OEM hoses?

Everything said here has been true I am sure. However keep in mind these hose kits do not generally include crucial hoses.

    Rad Fan Controllers

I bought a fan off of EBay. As long as you have 14ga wiring to the fan with a 30 amp relay you are fine with basically any EFI signal based system.

At what point do I need a tune?

You need atleast an air/fuel tune. To be optimal you need to calculate efficient ignition tuning as well. You are beyond acceptable factory tolerances. Sorry.

    Partially wrapping exhaust manifold/header...

Wrapping an exhaust component is both good and bad by concept. Obviously the more heat left inside the exhaust system and less outside of the system the better. However any heat protection provided by the wrap hurts the ability of the material to oxidize (rust). Weld points are generally...

    Speedo Cable Year/Model Differences

As far as I know the transmissions all use the same speedometers...They are all cable driven. You must use a mechanical to electronic speedometer speedometer.

    tuning

That totally depends on what you mean by "tuned". I am sure members here will help you with specific issues but not generalized "tuning" issues. That is sort of what makes us community.
