With stock electronics/fuel you usually end up running in to a wall in around 300rwhp due to fuel cut. A little higher maybe, but not much.

This....timing includes your cps position as well as making sure your cam timing marks are lined up properly when your crank timing mark reads 0 degrees.

Your check engine light will blink regardless if you have codes or not if you have those pins jumped correctly. Try using a paperclip and bending it in such a way that it "springs" against the sides of the connectors for a better connection.
