    front facing intake

Sure - there are valid CONCERNS. Certainly not something he should make definitive statements about unless he actually ran one and can support his claims with some sort of data.

Any alternative markings to do cam gear timing with???

Whoa - I thought you were the one asking for alternative "markings"?!? Of course the back timing cover is going to help - I never advised against using it. Even after FT offered you a free one, you said "too late". What am I missing here? :dunno: YOU are the one who said you wanted another...

Any alternative markings to do cam gear timing with???

That's not really true. Using the plate IS just "eyeing" it. If you put something in the spark plug hole (i.e. a chopstick), it is very easy to feel TDC. The chopstick moves up as you rotate the crank and after it hits TDC, it will start to move down. You just rotate the crank until you get...

    front facing intake

Do you have one of these, or is all this just unfounded speculation on your part? I only see a few pictures, I can't see anything that would make me come to the conclusions you have so easily.

Any alternative markings to do cam gear timing with???

Well, that's all the markings on the plate tell you. There's nothing the plate is going to show you to help you "fine tune" anything. What are you trying to accomplish?

Any alternative markings to do cam gear timing with???

I usually check for TDC using a chopstick through the spark plug hole. Then you can check the intake cam to make sure you are on the right cycle. It's probably best to get a plate though - somebody who is parting out probably has one for cheap.

    help

You need to start thinking about boost differently. Your goal should not be to boost a certain PSI - rather, to get more flow. If you have a stock car, your CT26 is going to be ineffective at that boost pressure and fail quickly. Likewise, there are other turbos that are efficient in that...

whats the best plugs to get

Well, all the ones I have measured have been right at .032" - so what would you have me do? You can warn something is going to go wrong, but I have never had an issue while driving aggressively or even during tuning. All I am saying is that I have used these plugs in many cars and I have...

    Manufacturer V6 vs L6

Efficient packaging, many consumers demand FWD because they are more comfortable driving them in bad weather, etc. Many SUV's have started to be based on car chassis rather than truck bases. This causes a shift to FWD rather than RWD. Most SUV's sold are A/4WD variants - the 2wd intended to...

whats the best plugs to get

NGK iridiums and wires have performed flawlessly for me in all of my Supras. I usually only measure the gap to make sure it's within reason (all have been pretty consistent) - haven't noticed any issues just dropping them in :dunno:.

    2009 Corvette

Who's we? I thought you lived in the UK. I agree that GERMANS make a few damn good cars. The British certainly make lovely, technically-advanced paperweights. :sarcasm: I am just kidding (sorta :dunno:)

    Manufacturer V6 vs L6

Volvo still uses inline motors (for 4, 5, and 6 cylinder vehicles). They are front-drive or AWD and actually transversely mount the inline motors in order to fit modern cab-forward designs (also for safety). The motors are known for being quite reliable. They also have many turbocharged...

    Quieter exhaust?

My setup is super quiet at idle/normal cruising. I have a recirculated DDP, 3" high-flow cat, and a Tanabe SMH cat-back. The Tanabe system has a large resonator and muffler. I have seen similar resonators available for $50 and up.

bov problem dosent make a noise

This isn't very clear, why don't you spend a little more time describing how you have it installed. Pictures would be great. How do have the "tube" attached to the bov? Did you buy a kit that went from an hks flange to a tube outlet?

    ssq bov sound question

That guy may have a little compressor surge :dunno: mine sounds a little different. With a CT26 57 trim, 2.5" hardpipes and a spearco style IC, I get a tiny bit of flutter at 10psi and pretty much none at 14psi (just a whoosh sound at that level). I am not an expert, so I talked to a few very...

HKS racing type II has a "flutter" sound to it. Not unlike compressor surge.

Annual "What loot did I get for Christmas" thread!

I'm not religious and I do my best not to be materialistic. My family gets together for a few meals and to spend some time together. That's more just a result of everybody actually having a couple days off. Definitely the way to go for us :icon_bigg
