That color looks great - I was hoping you'd stay away from those colors that were a bit too purple. Can't wait to see this all nice and shiny :icon_razz
I agree with most of that. I actually run linux for most of my personal needs. It's not a matter that I "want" specialized apps that only run well on the Apple platform - that couldn't be farther from the truth.
My point was that certain programs have become standards of their given...
I have gotten OSX to run on a couple machines as a boot option (did not run perfectly though and is slow compared to properly configured VM's). Do you know how to make it work on VMware or similar?
If so, hit me up.
Your idea of a decent application is probably different than mine. That...
That is not even close. Apple may have a slight edge in not "crashing", but many apple models will freeze up, necessitating a power-down. That is pretty common knowledge, but apple-philes tend to ignore that.
PC's have the advantage of giving you more performance for the dollar.
But...
Lol. I have to agree there. I actually posted that the HKS type II was loud. What I didn't say is that I did not expect to be loud. I am actually having new IC piping made and will be using a Tial because a few people have told me it is one of the most effective BOV's.
I hear that argument quite a bit, but it really depends on the climate you are in. I actually have two sets of wheels/tires. I got all seasons on my "winter" set because in Chicago, there are only 3-4 days I will ever have to actually drive on the snow. Most of the time the roads are nicely...
Unfortunately, it won't last.
Illinois announced a big crackdown on slow drivers in the left lane about 4 years ago.
The state troopers ticketed for one weekend, and then back to life as usual.
Kumho ASX have served me quite well. I have used them on a few different cars - all with good results.
I was going to buy dedicated winter tires this year, but decided to put a set of ASX's on instead - they did well through the winter.
Get a functioning timing light.
There is no point speculating what might be broken until you actually follow the TSRM directions for setting ignition timing. Since you need a timing light to do that, go get one.
When you set timing do not forget to jump the diagnostic block as...
Welding them in isn't the easiest job in the world, but certainly doable. Over fenders work as well.
Don't just cut the rust out though - be sure to inspect the back of the panel - usually rust is much worse than it appears. After cutting and welding, the back of the panel should be coated...
About halfway down the block - me chasing him on foot - I'm wondering to myself - why the fuck didn't I get back in my car to go after him. LOL
Anyway - there was quite a bit of traffic - probably not the wisest time to be pursuing a hit-and-run artist in a car with iffy suspension.:icon_razz
I'm not too worried. I do quite a bit of business with the insurance company, so they're going to take care of the old Toyota correctly. I used to do body work, and was planning on refreshing the exterior this summer.
The only real issue is I just don't have the time right now to deal...
I am very happy that nobody got hurt in this accident. And I don't really get upset too much about the damage to the car.
It really got to me that the guy ran.
Anyway - I just got word that they got the guy.
As I suspected - no insurance.
Anyway - just thought I'd let y'all know the black...
Just need to vent.
Some asshole hit the Supra today. He was racing through an alley and crossed a BUSY street where I was without looking.
I saw him at the last second, and was able to throttle-on quickly. On a happy note, my 57 trim spooled quickly (thanks Aaron @ DM) and I almost got out...
