I do have your emails.
I will review this stuff over the weekend and let everyone know what the status is. Sorry - just been a bit busy this week.
I will take more of an ownership role of this project and start to organize a list of what we need (with all of your help). I will give it a...
Not in my experience. Stripping it bare would be a waste of time in most cases and not accomplish much of anything if the body is in nice shape.
$4,000 seems a *tad* steep, especially considering the fact that you will be doing much of the disassembly/reassembly. The price certainly isn't...
Because many people get into law enforcement because they think it automatically makes them important.
I have met great police officers as well - they typically went into the job with a sense of public service, wanting to protect law-abiding citizens.
I don't think anybody is saying that you are making anything up.
We are wondering if your friend actually has picked up the car yet, which hasn't been answered. If anything, we are questioning whether this deal has been completed yet. Nobody is doubting YOUR honesty, rather the accuracy of...
I'm not trying to upset anybody - just being realistic.
If somebody actually did pick up such a nice car for $2,500 - damn right I would be jealous. Hell, I think it would be unbelievable deal for a bare bones MKIV shell.

Ohio says it's OK, so you don't have to worry about them.
Check out the Bureau of Motor Vehicles site. It...
I drove the last one out of Akron this way.
If you are paranoid - find a currency exchange or DMV station in Ohio and pick up a drive-away permit.
You just show them your bill of sale and ID (and possibly insurance). IIRC, it'll cost you about $10. You can drive the car legally for 7...
I have done that a few times.
I typically just throw a plate on from another car to reduce the chance I'll get hassled.
I was pulled over once for speeding, I just showed the officer the homemade bill of sale and he sent me on my way.
Use google.
Express paint, colorite - there are quite a few.
I would suggest buying a spray gun - even if it is temporary, a cheap adjustable gun will do a much better job. If you go that route - you can have a local shop mix the paint for you.
