Woohoo! That was extremely fun! I rained for 2 of my 4 passes today and the wettest run was by far the most fun. I'll try to have videos up soon, but it may be in a different thread.
I had a feeling the massive rear wheels and tires are not going to help me, but this kinda confirmed my doubts. I think it's gonna be a lot harder than when I had my 87 with 5 spokes, but I guess I'll find out. Thanks guys!
Has anyone auto-x'ed their supra in the rain? If so, how bad was the understeer in the rain? I'm using MKIV TT wheels with Yokohama ES100's 280 in the back and Yokohama AVS Sports 180 in the front, but I don't know how they'll feel on a wet course? Any autocrossers' feedback will be...
I just got through doing mine and let me tell ya, not having to worry about stripping a hole is a WONDERFUL feeling. Every supra I've owned thus far has had at least one stripped hole. Now, this one doesn't have ANY! Yay!!! :D
I've also heard the same thing about our ignitions being an UPGRADE for for many cars including higher horsepower grand nationals.
In any case, this build-it-yourself standalone has a definite appeal to me.
That's odd that your fog lights seemed to suck. Mine illuminate more than my white ones did. Of course, then again, I also have HID's. ;)
Just running the foglights though, the yellow ones are still brighter than my white ones.
I'll go ahead and point out the obvious that different shops will charge vastly different prices pending on quality of work and location.
What are you mainly referring to? Are you referring to somebody doing the swap? Are you referring to the cost of rebuilding the engine?
If you're...
You are definitely allowed to disagree with moderators. It's just how you go about doing it that makes a difference.
(Who is actually right makes a big difference, too.;))
Oh, I definitely see the need for the self-leveling. I myself have noticed when I am involved in some spirited driving I can see farther. ;)
You've got to love the torquey 7M.
Also, the term self-adjusting levelers is misleading. I was thinking about putting a load on the car and it automatically adjusts the level for you. The fact you can adjust the lights from the inside of the vehicle isn't nearly as impressive.
