    EFI fuse blowing on acceleration.

Thanks for getting back to us on the solution, few people do that anymore. It helps others, and perpetuates the usefulness of this wonderful site.

    Skagit COunty

Like Matt said, Anacortise is nice, though I think the cost of living is a bit high in the area for what it is. I'm down in Oak Harbor, again, not much down this way either but the usual honda crowed. There's also an Evo crowed I run with but I'm a little out of place. If you need any help feel...

    Shortening Shift Throw

Poodles is right, the SOGI mod only shortens the length of the shifter, not the "throw" on the transmission side like a true short throw does. Since our shifters go directly into the transmission the pivot point has to be physically raised. This requires extending the transmission housing itself...

2jz died on the highway, wont start again

No point to it on a swaped 2JZ, the whole ciucuit is bypassed so the system continuously operates at 12V.

2jz died on the highway, wont start again

Sadly most 2JZ swaps are wired this way. The 2JZ ECU uses a separate fuel computer unlike the 7M. So you either wire in the fuel computer, a difficult and expensive process. You source a RPM activated switch. Finding a suitable had been proving difficult and expensive. Or the easiest and most...

FT-86 - Can't believe you guys aren't talking about it...

Pardon me if I totally disagree with you. I won't knock the engineering merits of the boxer engine. But nowhere does it say I have to like the fucking thing. I would rather see Toyota mate Subaru's AWD to one of their FAR FAR more reliable motors. I've heard enough boxer engine worship...

FT-86 - Can't believe you guys aren't talking about it...

Yeah same here, seems to me they got the whole powertrain bass ackwards. When Toyota picked upFuji Heavy Industries I was seeing Subi AWD mated to Toyota powerplants. I was not expecting what they did with the FT-86.

    Notice: Easy to follow rules!

Sure have ;) , even lived there for awhile, I could at least bulldog my way through the left lane. Here I have much less luck. It's as if they are oblivious to there mirrors, and never see anybody in them. And I've currently asked a hand full of people(over a period of time) from Washington if...

    Notice: Easy to follow rules!

Of all the states I've been in Washington seems to be the capitol. People here can't seem to grasp such a simple fucking concept as this. It's ridiculous, and pisses me off almost every time I go out.

So the insurance company booted the supra off the policy

Lol, this is true. The issue many insurance companies have is the fact the car is so stout. On newer cars the energy from the impact is absorbed and transfered to parts on the car. That's why newer car wrecks look so bad, the car is designed to absorb the energy rather than the passengers. With...

Simultaniously lower the value of the MKIII and the MKIV

It's one of the best executed versions of this I've seen, and guess what......... It's still ugly.

    Getting cruise control to work

This is what did, works fine. I had the cruise control for the 7MGTE, the one from an NA won't play nice with a boosted engine. Also the throttle tip-in is a bit more aggressive on the 2JZ, so when the CC is trying to reach the set speed the engine might surge a few times before it lands on the...

Can someone plz identify these for me...

You might be right. I thought they changed them for the new nose, due to it blocking air flow for the old one. But you're probably right about the year.

    TEMS question

The TEMS system takes inputs from four sensors to determin what setting to use. 1. TPS- used for anit-squat 2. Brake sensor-used for anti-dive(speed sensor also plays a roll in this) 3. Steering angle sensor-used for anti-roll(speed sensor also plays a roll in this) 4. Speed sensor-used for the...
