Loosen the engine mount bolts and lower the trans a bit with a jack. Make sure that the fan doesn't get into the radiator, you may need to remove the fan. Then use about 3 feet of extensions over the top of the trans to get to the bolt.
This works well for the other upper bolt that holds the...
Will, traction will lower the times. Keep in mind I'm on 18 inch tires and low boost...The cure is on it's way though!
David, the plates are ready to be produced, unfortunately we just haven't had time to get to the machine shop. Hopefully things will slow down a bit after this month. July is...
Hey, Will! Glad you're still around some!
Taller sidewalls will raise it a bit, but not much. From what I hear H+R's give the lowest drop of all the spring kits aside from coilovers. Get out the tape and measure from the ground to the bottom of your bumper and I'll do the same. I'm running a...
Hey! I'm in Champaign!! Well, Urbana actually. I've arranged a caravan to the meet, so you can just cruise up with us. You should probably reserve a room in advance though, and RSVP for the meet and the events that you will participate in.
Caravan info is here...
Hey Al, you could probably crash with Carl and I if you want to. Each room is supposed to have 2 queens beds and a sleeper-sofa. Splitting the room 3 ways would make it damn cheap! You and Carl would probably enjoy talking to each picking each other's brains anyway! lol!
Ya, that's what I figured. I know you're really busy right now. I'm just glad that you're still coming to CHI for sure!
I'd still really like to snatch that MKII, but I don't know where to put it....
Dave, I'm not seeing them on Summit with a 6.5 backspacing just a 5.5.
Bryan, Summit is listing the Drag-Lites with up to a 5.5 backspace. Are you confident that will provide a proper fit? Sounds to me like it should.
If you guys think those are the correct measurements I'll order them in Aug.
Well, we had a great turnout of around 35 cars and had a good time. Only one other Supra owner came, but I'm not too shocked about that with CHI2K5 only being 2 weeks away. I took a couple pics of the group of cars that showed...
NHRA rules require the loop to be no more than 6 inches to the rear of the front u-joint IIRC. That would make the carrier bearing location too far back to be legal.
Not a bad idea. Probably won't happen though as there are already so many places that make them....or are you referring to a MKIII specific loop? ...that may work....
