    91 Supra 1JZ-VVTi swap

I did this swap last summer. Pretty sweet engine! I'm still fine-tuning the little details, but I've put about 1,000 to 1,500 miles on it, and it's smoooooth. It's cool to see other people do this swap, what are the plans for your car?

    Emilio's NewRedSupra

Yup, they drive me nuts. My first Supra (a 1990 NA without TEMS) felt like it rode and handled better than my last two with Tokico/Eibachs did, it may be the lens of time that did it, but I'm unsatisfied with my current arrangement either way. I'm all aboard the idea of a set of coilovers, just...

    Emilio's NewRedSupra

Well, I don't have any pictures, and I don't really update this thread regularly enough, but a few of my friends follow this, so what the hell! Between now and the last post, I spent at least a solid month of fighting my external oil cooler setup to get it to a state where it won't leak. I...

1JZ VVTi (CT15B) Turbo Rebuild Options?

Hey everyone, my car is a '91 Supra with a 1JZ-GTE VVTi swap. It's currently a stock engine, stock ECU, and original turbo. I know that the factory CT15 has the notorious ceramic exhaust wheel, and my engine has been burning oil as of late. I'm looking to get a stock rebuild, but want to switch...

Good Idea/Bad Idea: Trade in Mazdaspeed3 for MK3?

Seems like a pretty awful idea to me. $5 says that that Supra has some pretty bad problems that need addressing, just noting those "modifications", and the previous owner (and dealership) are happy to have it off their hands. Also, you're in Canada right? Are you planning on driving that Supra...

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

Good catch, table updated. At the top of the table on their website, it says: "all spring rates are measured in kg/mm"

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

Just got a response from Intrax. They don't even know their own spring rates....Table Updated

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Nice looking lift! I see a new truck too - old white one finally bid us farewell? The offer is still on the table for the fan shroud solution, should be pretty simple to install the setup that I have in mind. :)

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

Updated the chart with the King "Standard" springs. Seems like an OEM replacement.

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

I don't know anything about their reputation, but I do know they're an Australian company, and I think their springs are made in Australia as well. I will hopefully get more information about their "standard" springs soon, and I'll update the table once I get more info.

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

Amusingly, when I called Whiteline, the person on the phone said that Whiteline doesn't, and has never made springs for any car. Makes me wonder how valid the other info is.... Also, I've been calling various other manufacturers for more info about their springs, and I can compile it into a new...

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

I assume you mean this list? http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?75269-Stock-Lowering-Spring-Rate-Compilation I checked it first, and it's old enough that most of the information is no longer relevant. ST (Suspension Techniques), R*SR Sport, R*SR Race are all discontinued. Tokico...

    Linear Rate Springs - Options?

Does anyone know of a linear rate spring for the Supra that isn't a full coilover kit? I've been searching high and low, and it seems like every company that once sold a set no longer offers it. Also, something like a ground control coilover setup could be awesome, but GC doesn't make a kit...

Coilover Options? (Chinese brands need not apply)

So I've recently been considering getting a set of coilovers for my car, but I'm having a tough time even finding a decent quality set, and from there, understanding their characteristics. My car is primarily a weekend cruiser, and gets light/occasional track usage. (A few autocrosses, 1-2...

I HATE my Tokico/Eibach combo. Suggestions?

I'm probably exaggerating a bit, they really aren't like a Buick, but they have a very obvious underdamped response. I've started autocrossing recently, and what was an "okay" suspension before now shines through as pretty obviously inadequate. Right now, Konis seem like the clear winner in the...

I HATE my Tokico/Eibach combo. Suggestions?

God damn. How did I not know about these? Now I have to clean up all the drool that's on my keyboard.

I HATE my Tokico/Eibach combo. Suggestions?

The title pretty much sums it up, but here's a brief rundown. My 1991 Supra currently has Tokico Illumina IIs, paired with Eibach springs, and I absolutely despise this suspension setup. It has a very underdamped "buick-like" sort of ride; when hitting larger bumps or road imperfections, the...
