If there really is a bent valve then yes that could be it. How did the mechanic determine there was a bent valve other than just assuming it is because the cams being off? Is the check engine light on?

Which trim? The plastic on the underside of the hatch just pops off. Once you pop that off you can get to the nuts that hold the trim on the bottom of the rear window. You have to take the nuts off and them pop the trim off. You can also get to the wing fasteners that way too.

I was thinking the same thing about the check valve. Your brake booster (big black thing behind the master cyl.) could have a leak.

Yes its a good idea to go with the 7 heat range. bcpr7's or bkr7e's. I believe the bcpr's are the correct plug for the 7m but most people,including myself, run the brk7's-part#6097.-I believe the only difference is the height. And yes you will be fine running msd wires and ngk plugs.
