has anyone replaced their wiper arms with something more modern?

Left hand drive cars will leave the lower left corner of the windshield in that gap at the base of the wiper. Right hand drive cars will do the opposite. Some will have both arms come up from the center leavinh a triangle at the top center of the windshield unwiped, but it's almost exclusively...

Im trying to buy a mk3 supra throwing the KS code

7M-GTE ECU is very hard to chip. You basically have to replace the ECU. That hasn't stopped people from selling chips of course, but they're pretty much limited to doing things like fooling the ECU into timing advance/fuel enrichment for thinking that the engine is still cold and the like...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

The thing with the brake systems is that the calipers take fluid as well, and in an amount that varies as the pads and rotors wear. If someone were to try to pin it down to a specific amount, it would have to be with new pads and rotors, and even then there would be a margin for variance. It...

has anyone replaced their wiper arms with something more modern?

I still have the factory wipers on my 500,000+ km Mk3. The rubber has been replaced many times of course, but the actual wiper is still the factory unit. It is starting to show its age though, and some of the joints don't move the way that they are supposed to, but I keep trying to rehabilitate...

has anyone replaced their wiper arms with something more modern?

They're wiper arms. What would a "more modern" one feature anyway? If anything, I'd like the system that came on my 1975 Chev, where when you turned the wipers off, they retracted under the hood cowl, but all things considered, I'm happier having intermittent wipers.

87 supra na to turbo build questions????

Yes, you can, but unless there's something about the replacement cluster that you really want, I'd just replace the tach driver board.

    Rebuilding my 7M-GTE Question

Well, that totally does not look blown to me. So the next thing to do is check the turbo for cracks, since that's the next most likely place for oil and water to collide. After that, it's cracks in the block or head.

87 supra na to turbo build questions????

Nope. You need the driver board for the turbo's tachometer. Or the whole tachometer. Or a MSD tach adapter. The rest of the dash harness, including cruise control, and the voltmeter just works. You will likely WANT a boost pressure gauge, but I wouldn't bother with the stock one.

    Go for 57 trim?

Yes, you can. If you aren't getting the block and head milled, so that you have a perfectly flat and reliable surface on which to seat the MHG, it's a guaranteed BHG almost immediately, since there's no real give to the surface to conform to even the most minor of imperfections. Though, going...

    Go for 57 trim?

The ARP bolts are perfectly good, so long as you have a reasonable torque spec on them. (I believe that they come with a recommended spec of 85 ft-lbs) With the Fel-Pro gasket (Which is just fine, and a good idea if you aren't going to have the block decked) it should stand up to the 57 trim...

Upgraded (almost).. wondering what to expect....

I have an extra 100PSI fuel pressure gauge around that I could let you have. You'd just have to arrange to get it to you. Perhaps one of the local members can help you out there.

    rebuilding and nervous!!

If you have rod knock, then the only way to fix it is to replace bearings. If you don't have rod knock, but have blown your head gasket, chances are that you will have rod knock very soon. Again, the way to fix it is to replace bearings. Either way, it should be done. In any case, with a...

    rebuilding and nervous!!

My rod knock sounded like top end. If you are rebuilding for BHG, then you should replace bearings anyway. I had a really slight BHG and the bearings all seemed fine. 2 years later, rod knock. This time, it's all getting done.

    Advice for the next step.

"Until I go stand alone" With those words, I say that the Lex/550 is a good deal, unless you are planning larger injectors already

    Rear BBK anyone?

Thanks for the information, this is really useful for those of us looking at doing this, and gives more ideas as to where to check for potential issues.

    Rear BBK anyone?

For me, it's not about show, it's about go. Currently, I don't track my car, and as such, the stock brakes work well enough to throw my tires into anti-lock, even after some spirited driving. As such, I'm not looking to upgrade my brakes just yet, although I did buy a Doward BBK, which I'll...

    This can't be right - excessive blow-by?

Well, given that Driftmotion sells the 84mm NPRs, they might be able to get the rings for you.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Goodies arrived from Driftmotion. ARP Rod bolts, which I ordered, but since I've now installed my rods and pistons... Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Walbro 255lph pump, in-line. I plan to install this further up the fuel line, since it's not the in-tank model, it will serve to...
