    1jz intercooler size

Actually... yes. I remember playing with a neighbor in his LS1 Z28 a few years ago. It seemed to take forever to spool up, much longer than normal. Once it hit peak boost it held ok (and I pulled away because he underestimated me), but... The next day, we pulled off the stock y-pipe and found...

    A fast spool turbo for a 1JZ

No, the smaller rear housing, the faster the spool. However, a smaller rear will choke the motor at higher rpm. Depending on what you need it for, this may be a good thing, or a bad thing. Either way, if it is for track use, spend the extra few hundred for the ball bearing. ;)

Hatch and gas lid cable remove/install

Could probably adapt a remote trunk opener from an LS400 easily enough. :)

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

This is what makes me nervous about mine. Which is why I would love for there to be a replica version of mine as well, just in case. Uhh... for what it's worth, I have about $3750 into mine (hood, front and rear fenders, front bumper cover, nose piece, skirts, rear add-ons, and spoiler, I...

Panic time... 3" unrestricted Turbo Elbow.. yikes

Hard to make when you have to make 4000 of them before your 20 hour shift ends. Chinese manufacturing jokes aside, I don't know of a reputable manufacturer of the elbow alone. I know BIC downpipes are well made and include the elbow built in. :)

    Re-doing dashboard

Wood anything looks silly in any sports car that isn't an Aston or Jag. If your dash is cracked, no shame in putting a dash mat on it until you can find a suitable replacement.

    Post your Pre-89 bumper thread

Bumper comes off more or less easily enough with the crash bar in place. Lot of bolts/nuts involved IIRC...

New here..need suggestion for which motor to replace my 87' with a blown 7mgte

I wouldn't be surprised if you could find a 2j GE for around $1000, they were put in a metric shit ton of Lexus' in the 90's and into the 2000's. Like all others have pointed out, probably best to leave it NA for the time being. I really never got bit by the horsepower bug when I had my NA. The...

    The Small Questions Thread

I'd be a monkey's uncle if they're different. No reason for Toyota to spend the money when the only things different (as far as I'm aware of anyway) on the GA70 is the engine and the front fenders. Are the rear fenders on those ones skinnier too?

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Double check the owners manual/TSRM, pretty sure all capacities for fluids are listed in there. :) As for me, the only pad I've ever put in the car myself was a Porterfield R4S. Put those in, turned the rotors, and holy COW... what a difference! They might be a bit pricey, but they're a really...

has anyone replaced their wiper arms with something more modern?

Wait, Supra blades don't drop down into the cowl a bit? I might be thinking my old SS that did that, or the LS400. I could have sworn the Supras did that too... Anyway, on the subject of wipers, it really sucks being towed on a rainy day without wipers. Can't see sheet. :nono: Did find some...

Boost Films SFL - Smiley's 1095hp MKIII Supra Dyno & Cruise [HD]

That's kinda uh... nuts. Congrats to Smiley for sure. Although I'm sure it is very fast if driven right, it is kinda funny to watch on a dyno. *throttle opens*........................................................................... ...

Aftermarket turbo options for the under funded

Were you the one who had the rally cross Mk3 with the radiator in the back, that ended up blowing a hose or something like that? I like the idea of moving weight off the nose to balance out the handling a little, but I'm having a difficult time seeing how efficient it could be. How do you...

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

Well, I think I need some sort of adapter to use the flapper discs, so I just gave it a whirl with the metal brush wheel. Seems to have done the trick, but it takes a while longer, not to mention flings hot pieces of metal through your shirt from time to time (glad I bought that face shield!)...

    Thermostats..

Really hate to point the finger to *that* potential issue, but have you tested your coolant for exhaust gasses? I've seen that cause temperature irregularities. For what it's worth, the 'middle' of the stock temp gauge has a wide range of temperatures that it considers 'normal'. I believe (from...

charcoal canister delete on the mk3 bad?

Very much agreed IJ. Although I will say that my buddy's FC RX7 picked up quite a bit of response as a result of removing its emissions bits, and oddly enough, his fuel economy has been surprisingly decent for a rotary that isn't treated kindly.

I gotcha Leezy, that just seems painful otherwise. I guess the car has a lot more suspension than that kart did too...

    interior options

There are some people who do fast, there are some people who do nice. Seems you might be one of the people more in that latter camp (at least until you're done making it nice, then start with the fast), but I couldn't be happier to see that. Still an inspiration to me, and part of the reasoning...
