    Stupid question time: 1JZ rebuild

I changed all the gaskets and seals on mine (but forgot to do a couple old ass rubber hoses, that came back to bite me), checked the bearings, cleaned everything up, and have been driving it daily for over 3 years now. Personally, if you have another car to drive, why not just start the...

Thinking about 2uz swap in a 89 mkiii

For what it is worth guys, the plan is to turbo the 1uz going into the Chevy at some point. Nothing too crazy (it is a fairly high mileage car), but just to balance out the loss that you suffer at altitude makes cars nice. :)

Generally speaking, us Mk3 guys are cheapasses with our cars. The car itself is a lot of bang for your buck these days, but most of them are maintenance deprived, meaning the intro price is low. Younger drivers pick them up, beat on them, realize how expensive it is to fix things, or that...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

It really is a shame that the Mk3 is hard to come by with black interior that's original. Fits the car so well... Please tell me you're getting rid of those stripes? Otherwise looks good. :) Oh, and hi-five to emerica, on a possible Mk2 in the future. They're fun cars, and different enough...

Domestic Flights in the US (CA) - Options?

Always wanted to do an epic road trip like that... in an Aston. Depending on the route you take (I suggest the older highways, convenient for time as the interstate system is, it's boring as hell), that drive would be a lot of fun and quite beautiful. Wife doesn't want to be in a car for 5-6...

    Storm Sandy

So, how's everyone doing? I kinda had a laugh at my girlfriend reading a headline, "Sandy worst storm in recent US history", when she asked, "did they forget about Katrina?" I figure what I've seen of NYC alone, that much damage is probably costing more in property damages than the entire state...

    Metal Heads Unite!

They're playing with Devidriver tonight in the Denver area I believe. Not sure if that is the lineup for all their shows though. Could care less about GWAR (no offense, just never been a fan of their music much), but their theatrics are pretty awesome. Kinda like 80's slasher film effects...

    The World's fastest Indian

Keep calling people "lad" and we'll really have to start calling you "old man". In a loving way, of course. :) Man, I have missed some things in your threads apparently... I'll pitch in for the plane ticket, even if the chances of actually getting to meet ya might be slim. :) On the original...

Found a dead computer, hard drive has files...should I get the drive to the owner?

Probably what I would do. However, I'd nuke a drive before I threw out a computer, or ran it through the shredder first... Caveat: Would YOU stick a random ass thumb drive in your computer? I wouldn't... If you do that, at least include a note explaining what is on it. Perhaps include the brand...

Picked up some 18 Rota P-45f's with 255s

Hate to make light of the situation, but that's pretty funny. Should cover it under comprehensive, IF you have it on a 20 year old car. Not too many people bother unfortunately. Really isn't that expensive either... Kelson, this is almost as bad as the time my buddy had a 95 240sx for about...

1946 Chevy Fleetmaster 2-door, meet "Betty"...

Guys, if you realized how thick the steel on this car was, you'd know I wasn't hurting it. I shit you not, I could probably punch this car and not leave a dent. More importantly, I'm really gentle with a grinder, I've gotten to the point where I can remove just the rust, paint, and primer...

    1986 AE86 Corolla GT-S Supercharged

Always thought the games were a little silly, but if you find one with the motorized cabin, they're pretty fun. And nausea inducing. :p The version on Netflix is dubbed isn't it? Couldn't stand the fact they made Itsuki sound like a complete moron, even if he kinda... is. As for Fifth Stage, I...

    Tiger Japanese Rear Sump 1JZ

Just going to say this much: Any engine you buy used of this age, you should tear it down completely to inspect it, clean it, and replace all the gaskets and rubber seals/hoses. It really is cheap insurance, and better than a leak that you have to deal with later.

    quick weight question/s

Doubt it. Not too worried about it though. The reason I'll have them is that the Chevy and the LS400 in my sig are going to become one in a few months, and the LS400 body will be leftover. The guy making it happen... he's pretty awesome with a welder. We'll make it work. ;)

Like I said, could really care less about the drifting aspect myself, but make this happen, and you WILL have my attention. ;) I second what IJ said though.
