triple threat - ebarke light tail light failure lamp and charge light

Thanks for getting back to us on this. A Lot of times people will never comeback and post the solution for the benefit of others, kudos to you.

triple threat - ebarke light tail light failure lamp and charge light

Sigh.... No. And the condenser is not part of the voltage regulator, it is a separate component, and not critical to the functional operation of the voltage regulator. It's intended to assist a system other than the charging system. And since you don't have a radio, you're not even worried...

triple threat - ebarke light tail light failure lamp and charge light

That little capacitor looking thing is the condenser, and is used for noise suppression on pre-89 alternators. Failure of that part will not cause the warning lights illuminate. It may however cause a little alternator whine to come through the speakers on cheap or older stereos. That said...

    Please help ... A/C problem!?

He converted his A/C system into a 5-speed transmission? :dunno: Joking aside. Just giving us the pressure readings tells us very little, even less without the ambient temperature when the reading was taken. How was the conversion preformed? Any conversion is not going to cool as well as...

code 11 car wont go past 3000 rpm

A wastegate actuator that is faulty or not receiving a proper reference signal can cause fuel cut. And fuel cut has symptoms similar to the ones you are describing. Also the wastegate actuator arm should have had a good deal of pretension making it difficult to pull onto the wastegate flapper...

Stock boost gauge not reading any pressure

The factory boost gauge should go to zero when the ignition is turned on. Then when the engine is started and idling it should go all the way down. I see no issues as far as that goes Concerning positive pressure readings, the factory gauge has a very slow response time. Have you stayed in...

    tokico illumina 2

Mmmm.......pie. Tokico Illumina II are not know for being the most reliable shock. Purchasing a used set is nearly a guarantee that you are getting a dead set. As far as your question goes about body roll. A cars suspension is a very complex system, with a huge number of variables that affect...

    Injector Latency and Current Draw

Interesting questions. I double checked your math and it looks good. A couple curious things. Even though at a baseline fuel pressure(250kpa) the hold amperage is .5a, that is only concerning what the stock injector requires. Whatever the hold amperage allowed from the ECU is, it is probably...

    ACT extreme PP causing crankwalk??

I did research into this when I did my 2JZ swap. The conclusion I reached was that the best thing to prevent crank-walk on a 2JZ was to disable the clutch start safety switch. This means that the pressure plate is creating less pressure than a factory pressure plate on startup. So the failures...

    ACT extreme PP causing crankwalk??

If you look at the clutch pedal you will see two switches. The neutral start switch is the lower one. It has a two pin connector that you disconnect and jumper the two pins to bypass the safety feature.

    ACT extreme PP causing crankwalk??

Bypass the neutral start switch and start the engine without having to push in the clutch. Allowing for minimal load on a dry thrust bearing.

    Vacuum lines around intake manifold

Umm. None. Every line on there has a purpose, including the EGR valve. This isn't some american car out of the early 80's late 70's, with a crap ton of power robbing emissions hardware. Pulling stuff without knowing what it does, and compensating for its absence in the system is a recipe for...

    Kick me in the Teeth

Sorry to hear about the beating that life is giving you lately, Joe. Especially concerning your father. I can't imagine how rough stuff like that would be to go through. I've found that as you go through life, times like this can be used to help truly appreciate the good times, which WILL come...

What is this black box? I think it's the alarm system.

Actually if you look off to the right side you will see that the dealer did install the Theft Deterrent System Upgrade. From CJsupra's site: http://cjsupra.kendra.com/89supra.html Toyota Theft Deterrent System Enhancement (TDSE) Part Number: 08585-00861 (Base Kit) 00398-14910 (Installation...

What is this black box? I think it's the alarm system.

What the OP was looking for was the TDSE or Theft Deterrent System Enhancement. And as the name suggests it was an enhancement of the factory theft deterrent system. This was a Port or Dealer installed option. As such the TEWD and the TSRM you guys are linking to are not going to be of much...

    7mgte oil squirter question

That is my assumption as well. Damned assumptions. That is still flow as well as pressure, and should still show up on a gauge. Not sure why your gauge isn't picking it up at least minimally. I would still look for a mechanical gauge with good resolution just to test with. Bad, 7M owner, bad...

    7mgte oil squirter question

Ok, good an aftermarket setup removes questions about gauge compatibility on a swap, though on a cressida that's not really an issue. If there was enough pressure to hit the wheel well then you have oil flow as well as enough pressure to at least show up on a gauge. So to me this indicates an...
