i used 2 L 90dge brackets welded them to the top of the rebar and for the bottom just for a rod to hold it up works great, but you dont see the top of the IC since its covered by the rebar. IC 24x12x3

poodles- yeah your right that they might not have been oil changed but its prolly just the fact that its a 2jz, but yeah a unknown motor could lead to anything like a money pit, but i guess i can...

well i can get a 1j for 1000 and a 2j complete w/o trans for 1800 with just under 80km. so after i do the little maintance like valve covers, water pump, seals and gaskets and bell housing its going to be the same...
yeah randy's 1jz is so clean i saw it 2 weeks ago at the track, yeah i might come by but not with the supra but well just have to see. i want to see jeremys 2j i've only seen it in pictures, and ive been reading up on a few 1j and 2j builds and they almost look identical, but the 2j makes nice...
hey guys well, i got a big dilemma im deciding on a motor swap and i just stuck on what to choose. Im not really experienced with the two motors on reliability and performance wise. the reason for the swap is that I've got rod knock and i was thinking of building my 7m with all forged internals...

haha nice nice. its all good. well yeah im going with a swap this winter also as my cars hit knocking but im not totally sure wut its gunna be but im also thinkin of the 2jz but the jdm dont make much Hp so im pretty set on the 1jz =), we will both see what happens :aigo:

but the car has just become a headache. I now have rod knock and the cars losing power on boost my ECU keeps retarding the time so i lose. but now im gunna have some stuff up for sale and gunna be doing a 2jz or a 1jz swap within a couple months ill keep everyone posted.
yeah, well this skyline was stock with just the basic DP/E/I and up'd boost, so if your buddies getting a R32 then your gunna have to run almost the same amount of power as randy. but if its just a gt-s then you wont have a problem with basic mods:naughty:
well my timing was advanced and running my car really rich and was smoking in decel and idle it was smoking blue and black. but i dont know what yours could be.
