By law, any tampering with the plate, whether it be putting stickers on it, writing on it, or folding it would be defacing the plate and can get you a ticket. I havent driven with a front plate on my cars since 1989. Ive gotten 3 tickets over that time period but its an easy fix.

Well it only happens with the fronts, so either the fronts should use longer lugs, or the studs should be longer. But grinding down the key to have a tapered rounded edge did the trick, unfortunatly after already doing some damage to one of the wheels. So to anyone with AV3's or GT-Cs or...

Funny you bring up RB, I just picked up a set of staggered 17" (17x8/17x9) Volk Racing AV3's there yesterday and wrapped them in Kuhmo Tires. Have to wait on the thin lugs to come in next week to mount them.

With a limited budget and it sounds like youre not prepared to dump more money into the car, I dont think the MK3 is for you at this point in time. If you only have $1000 in the bank, and haev your parents giving you 3k, it might be a total PITA to maintain this car.

Black friday now translates to online sales as well so it makes it much easier to buy things on that day. For the past 10 years, I intentionally dont leave the house that friday because of so many stupid people.
