"Up there, you asked how to disable your antilock brake system...
It is disabled. When a sensor is bad, the system faults to non-abs.
Again, I'm sure one of us has a used sensor that works well, and IIRC it's located in the transmission..."
That's some intresting information, I just...
alright well here it is! i'm gonna start working on it tommorrow since it's now dark and i won't get the parts until then...
and just for fun, my dads toy:
ok well i just went to carquest and told them everything i needed (cam seals, crank seal, valve cover gaskets, and timing belt)...
everything turned out to be around $140.
"2. Do it yourself. Crank seal = $11.02 (part number 90311-52003), Cam seals = $1.76 (part number 90311-35008) each, Timing belt = $19.32 (part number 13568-42010)."
Are those prices that I might find at carquest and strauss, or are those prices that the toyota dealers set?
I'm so glad I posted this. You all are so very helpfull.
I would like to write up a parts list of everything I might need to fix all the things the dealer noted, so If anyone can write one up I would be much appreciated.
#1. How do I disable the antilock portion of my brakes?
#2. Thanks...
(87 turbo)
~An oil leak coming from the front of the engine
~Started having problems with the brake system and the antilock warning light comes on
So I took it to the local dealer and here's what they had to say;
1. Rear wheel speed sensor........................ $350
2. Timing belt...
Isn't there a member here that will change your interior lights to either red, blue, or white if you send him the parts along with whatever price he is asking?
i keep hearing different things..
i heard they are 4's all around, but i was at best buy the other day and we looked on their computer for what size speakers my 87 supra has and it said 5.25's in the rear...
I considered doing this cut mod but I didn't because the higher shifter (stock) lets me sit back in my seat and shift. If I had the shorter shifter I would have to sit forward more to shift, and I wouldn't like that since I'm tall.
