Aristo 2JZ Swap. Will not Boost in 1st gear

I'm pretty sure I can at least hit 8psi in first gear. Every other gear turbo #1 hits 10psi and turbo #2 hits 14psi. EDIT: Did you keep/replace all your vacuum lines?

    The "HOLSET MAFIA" affiliates thread.

Holsets are sooooooo last year. 2JZ's are the new black.

    Clutch options?

I underestimate the stock components in new form then. I'd like to know what you dyno at with it still holding as I'm also 2JZ equipped and thinking about throwing my SP63 on for 550rwhp. I should have more hope with a DM 11.5lb f/w, Clutchmasters upgraded PP, and an ACT 6-puck holding it down...

    Clutch options?

I find this really hard to believe if he still has the stock pressure plate and factory flywheel step of 0.020" as well.

Where to buy motors!?? 2jzgte's rear sump complete motors

I got my 2JZ from JDM source as well and it took about 2 weeks to get to my house in Denver.

Where to buy motors!?? 2jzgte's rear sump complete motors

That's because the only ones left are MKIV Supra 2JZ's that have a v160 6-speed attached to them for $7k+. Just suck it up and get a front sump Aristo like the rest of us and swap pans to a rear sump. I bought my rear sump for $200 shipped and sold my front sump locally for the same price to a...

Back up lights yes or no

It actually appears to be a Soarer ECU with a JZA70 jumper harness. The yellow wire comes from your gauge cluster (via the M1 plug) as it powers nearly everything gauge and rear lights.

7M-GTE poor idle after fresh rebuild

Don't forget to torque that CPS bolt down good. I had one back out on me and gravity set my timing.

    1j swap

Thank god, I thought I was the only crazy person who thought sub $4k was easily doable if you do all the work. My 2JZ swap was around $4,100 and a buddy, who I helped swap in a 1JZ, is somewhere in the low $3k range if not sub $3k. We both already had aftermarket intercoolers with 7M piping that...

After searching i am left with this:

#2: All pilot bearings are the same from MKII-MKIV. I don't believe autos even come with a pilot bearing as was the case when my 2JZ arrived with the auto still bolted to it. #3: It's to the left of the oil pressure sender hole if you have one. #5...

Soarer 1JZ power brake vacuum line hook up

Can't you just steal the bolt/port from a 7M manifold and bolt it to the 1JZ manifold like you can with Aristo 2JZ's?

What MK IV parts fit the MK III?

You are half right IJ. The MKIII driver is compatible with the MKIV car but the MKIV driver is not compatible with the MKIII car. :biglaugh:

    Daily Driving a 2jzgte mk3

A friend down in Colorado Springs received a 2JZ with a chunk missing from one of the pistons and was told it had great compression in all cylinders. That's the only first-hand experience. Everything else has been reading off this site and supraforums about non-JZA70 engines/tranny's being...

    Oil Pressure Sender

Just slipped the clip over the 7M "disk" portion and it locked in place after some encouragement. The 1JZ clip obviously was designed to slip over a tab so it might not be removable now without breaking.

    Daily Driving a 2jzgte mk3

Tiger Japanese is by far the worst place to order from. There are companies that unknowingly get bad engines once in a while and then there are companies like Tiger that actually mix-match/lie to make a buck.

    Daily Driving a 2jzgte mk3

The JDM 2J stock is very fun/useful as a daily. You have an instant 10psi from the first turbo when you mash the gas pedal. Then when the 2nd turbo comes online around 4k rpm, it pulls even harder. I do not have a restrictor ring in my 3" exhaust and don't overboost as bad as others experience...

    Oil Pressure Sender

A buddy of mine was able to clip the 1JZ harness plug onto the 7M sender.

From auto to r154 on 1J

Yes, it's basically the same concept but with some added conversion parts. For the 1JZ to bolt up to the R-154, you'll need a 1JZ/R-154 bellhousing and a 1JZ-GTE flywheel. Everything else is 7M-GTE parts which I'm sure you've already researched. BIC motor mounts that you will need are at...

    Oil Pressure Sender

Also you need to plug that hole next to the pictured oil pressure sender. I would just go into a dealership and get the correct plug for it (tell them 2JZ-GTE out of a 94 etc).

    2jz injectors for 1jz?
