    Help reading this wiring diagram

Thank you guys for all your help. I did some testing with the cruise control switch which works similarly to the defogger switch but does not have a timer. I opened it up and figured out which point gets power when the relay is energized, so i will use a new cruise control switch and run a relay...

    Help reading this wiring diagram

i dont want an on off switch though. I want a switch that turns on when you turn it on, but automatically turns off when the key is turned off, but not back on when the key is turned back on, just like the defogger switch does. If i understood how the switch worked i might be able to disable...

    slugish, intermitent cutting out etc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKcx6juXy2w I took this video before i figured out what my problem was. It was missing at idle a lot as you can tell, and whenever i would accelerate it would miss like crazy. Turns out there was coolant in the center two spark plug holes that dripped from the...

Weirdest thing ever. Sounds like rod knock but isn't.

definitely doesn't sound like rod knock to me. It definitely seems to point to the alternator, try briefly removing the belt and running the car (Not long, that belt drives the water pump also). When you have the belt off, feel the alternator pulley for any play in the shaft or weird noises when...

    Oil Flow vs Pressure

Ok, thanks, that helps a little bit. So now i ask why is it so important that there be about 10psi of pressure for ever 1k rpm? If you have 10 psi of pressure at any rpm, doesn't that basically mean you have enough flow? As you stated, once you reach the point where there is basically max volume...

    Oil Flow vs Pressure

I have a pretty simple question.... Why is flow so important rather than pressure? As long as there is pressure, doesn't that mean the bearings are coated? Why must you have so much flow, its not like the oil needs to carry away particulates or something like that, so as long as the bearings are...

    Today sucked

People seem to think that they can baby the car home because it was "just a few miles". Once you hear the thing knocking, turn it off and turn it off for good until you fix it. Driving it once it is knocking is just going to exponentially make it worse and you could end up with a completely...

    exhaust hanger questions

You can buy some steel rod at the hardware store, heat it, bend it, cut it, and make your own hangers if you wanted, thats what i did. I think you can buy sets of them too though, pre made.

    A/C troubles

that is odd how the tsrm shows the receiver dryer on the other side, because mine is the same as yours, and you are correct with the line, there is a line with a shradder valve port on it that goes from that lower tube to the top of the receiver dryer. How long has the system been open like that?

Whats wrong with these pictures? (big pics)

Careful with that head, you really don't want to put it on a flat surface face down like that with the cams still in, or its going to be resting on the extended valves.
