im not sure it exists, i have always needed a pre 89 diagram but never have been able to get my hands on it. I have a subscription to mitchell on demand and the diagrams on there for pre 89 are very shabby and limited, but most of the stuff from the tsrm online is identical to the pre 89 anyways
He means when you had the head off it could have been rested on the bottom of it, where the valves are extended which in other words means the whole weight of the head was on 2 or more of the valves which is a bad thing
im probably going to be hacking up an 89 harness in the next couple weeks, i could probably sell you the ecu connections (the plugs themselves with some wire to splice)
What clutch are you guys using and how much power are you making? I am about to swap a 7mgte and use my w58 but i have searched and cant find any info on which clutch i should use. I know i have to use a 7mge push type clutch but which one is right for me? I plan to keep the motor basically...
ok, great info guys! Thanks a lot. I will have the engine upside down on a stand. The engine has a new head gasket and rebuilt head etc etc so i do not want to remove pistons and all that. I just want to check bearing clearances and that's it. Then i will shim the pump and replace the squirter...

I have purchased a used 7mgte engine locally in which the bottom end history is unknown. The whole block is painted and has new core plugs etc and looks as though it has been apart. I am going to inspect the bottom end and had a few questions.
I have read a few things about replacing the...
LOL i cant believe you actually used a head gasket from a $40 set. THeres a reason Toyota charges 600+ just for their head set, and theres also a reason many toyotas go 150k miles + without any leak issues
afaik that happens when people simply plug the connectors in and cut two wires. headlights get stuck on and theres no rev limiter or something like that, but if i can get a full pinout i can match them 100% rather than just trying to guess at it
I apologize for that^
Anyways, after a couple hours of searching i have come across two things that look like they may have a little bit of potential to help. Here are the two sites.

Site 2...
I think he is trying to imply that oil would be high enough that the main seal would literally be holding the oil level rather than just stopping splash oil from leaving
