ok, thanks a lot guys :D
no leaks...its actually reading above full since i put extra in. sooo...i think i'm good.
i just have this natural thought that a gauge should read near the middle, and even after the owners manual told me its "normal" i wanted to check because on the temp...
how did you confirm the BHG? i'd like to know what exactly was done to test and who tested it....
sorry for the misfortune. its virtually a given with these silly engines. at least you didnt run it when it got hot and unless i missed something it didnt get a massive overheat. if you can fix...
thanks.
so your gauge is the one with the lower numbers? mine has a line about a 3rd of the way up that is unmarked, then a 40, then a small one in between 40 and 80, then the 80 mark, then another halfway mark and 120 think.
mine was running around that lower unmarked one but i dont know how...
umm...you let crud get down into the block?? through the oil tubes, or into the water jackets?
if you know which hole(s) are oil...i dont see why you couldnt funnel in fresh oil after you drain it....
if you got crud in the water, try and vaccuum it out and then from there just flush it or...
Today driving around, moderate speeds, kinda slow...my oil pressure was at the lowest mark that's in the "normal" range as per the owners manual but i dont like how low that is compared to some other instances where its been higher.
i'm running 5w-30... i think this weekend i'll change my...
rtv will make a mess. and if you ever have to remove the lights, it'll be a pain.
i just found that even after sealing my lights there is a leak. discovered just a few hours ago that my antenna is leaking and up underneath in the fender there is rust, thankfully not cancer yet but its scary...
yes, it could. BUT the coolant lines would probably take a while to heat up. if you had instant application of cold i could understand this but it couldnt be gradual as the heat would keep the AC from compressor from cooling the freon because its absorbing heat and also...the AC doesnt cool...
its possible i'm wrong about the trapped air theory...but that guys problem is evidence of it....i think.
Kwnate gave a good tip at the end, and some other person mentioned the honda filter...
yes, charcoal (carbon), i believe, is an excellent absorbant of impurities and things you dont want. the mollecules of the substance chemically bond to the carbon mollecules...thus they are 'filtered' out.
its just another attempt to make cars environmentally friendly. plus if your...
sounds good, i'm sure someone could make up a blanket of flexible hoses with some sort of reflective sheet on the upper side like you said. or maybe before the plenum and intake manifold are installed, copper lines could be bent and contorted to hug the intake and attached solid, and then...
yeah do NOT plug the line. not a month ago some kid did this and the resulting effect was fillup issues and then gas would push itself out of the tank, onto the side of his car from the pressure of the tank.
it takes the gastank fumes and filters out the bad particles, and he might be...
awsome. sounds like a nice idea.
i wonder if it would be possible to super cool the intake plenum with an AC line.
i was thinking the other nigt, what if you could make a cooling system with the AC compressor and run the piping along the intake plenum, it wouldnt be touching the block...
wow thats awsome. how will you grab the door to close it? secondary handle or pull maybe?
on the point of leaving the window down when you're in the garage....
that will not help a lot because the doors are no longer horizontal and the window really doesnt stick up above the door that...
can someone give me the inner and outer diameters? i really dont want it to blow and i might have to let someone borrow the car and i want to fix it TODAY after school.
so if i could get the dimensions and what type of hose...that'd be great. you said generic - what would the label say or...
