oh..lol...what's on the top end? i'm learning what combos you can do... 2jz top maybe?
lol...thats a hybrid....7m ignition, 1jz block and a 2jz head? let me guess, you have cams from another different engine...
yeah the rev-limiter is there for a very good reason.
unless you upgrade internals i think its a very bad idea. i dont know for sure but...logically.... i agree with Kai.
Well....here we go. I bought this car from a friend about a year ago...i'd always liked supras but NEVER thought i'd actually get one because it was on my list of "rare" cars...i figured i'd have a toyota pickup.
well this friend of mine picked it up for 500...then "fixed" something and i...
WOW. those look great! and an example on a black car!! thanks. too bad i'll never afford them. i must spend money only on things i need nowdays...
oh well. i can dream i guess :p
if i remember the cap is around 13-15 dollars and the therm is under 5? whatever you'll see soon enough.
good luck, drive it easy until you discover more and replace those parts.
if that hose was loose it was probably your problem...thats the hose at the very back of the engine right...
first of all...every time i hear of a coolant problem i hear "change the thermostat" and i'm going to reccomend this as well. anything you do with the system will be affected by it so it better work right. and they're cheap...
moving on...
i bet one of your hoses is leaking. its possible...
/\ will do. ------EDIT--------
DIE 56k!!!!!
new pics thenkfully the seal isnt compromised...but its still stupid looking, and i dont want the rubber to chemically break down:
one of my rear hatch struts began leaking and the fluid got on the foam rubber hatch seal. thankfully i caught it before it was totally ruined but there is considerable expansion of the rubber causing it to be wavy and it looks crappy.
not to mention the possibility of not as good of a seal...
the throttle body has coolant lines running to it. i believe this has been known to spring a leak, at least i've read about that before. i cant remember exactly but i think the coolant goes from one section of the body to the other, sealed with a single gasket for the air pipe and the small...
i have a stretch of black elec. tape on my hatch's lower window trim...you cant see it (black car) and it stopped water from getting in the hatch door. the window trim is a definite problem point.
so are the side windows under pressure ...at least on mine.
so basically i'm going to hit all...
i might have checked that if i remembered, but then again probably not. why? because i've heard about the 7m having a poor oiling design and then on top of that toyotas mistake with the head gasket... i wanted to check. thanks
4.3psi sounds like a good limit that i havent gone under, thanks...
