what your describing sounds similar to when my alternator was crapping out. But for me it would do it at random, not after a certian amount to driving time.

thanks Jay. as for the exhaust it came on a parts car that I baught, so I couldnt tell you exactly. It was a 1JZ, recaro interior and exhaust package deal. Randy makes them though, so he will have a good idea.

ill get my oil leak fixed this weekend, so ill be in unless i run into any issues.

Has anyone re-assembled their 1J and found a small oil leak between the block and the oil pump? If so, what was your fix? I dont want to, but I know im probably going to have to pull the crank pulley and re-seal the oil pump, but I thought id see if anyone has put a bead of FIPG and had it work...
