I've been researching and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the jza70 recaros use the stock supra rails or if you HAVE to have the recaro/ or equivalent rails..
It seems recaro no longer makes or even have these in stock, obviously I can have some fabricated but insight would be...
Yeah I mean its impossible in most cases to know how well they were maintained.. I hope well, but who knows.
Thanks for the info. I didnt really know what to think of the wastegate situation, though one would assume that even if it did creep it would be a small amount not enough to hurt...
Alright well Joe, ever since I bought this car a few months back I usually look to posts by you and a select other few jz guys for insights. So I think with that said being that you seem pretty experienced I'll go with what you're telling me.
I had never heard on any of the US forums about...
I was doing some research here at work on the stock twins with open dump (mine being 3" Trust) and came across an aussie post on how relieving the back pressure does increase power obviously, however that the stock wastegates cant seem to keep up right away with the boost running away due to...
I think they only make sub 400 numbers though, maybe 400+/- max IIRC. One has a few videos on youtube, maybe I can pick them out later today or tonight.
You have it backwards.. you'd do a OE 7m clutch and like an ACT Pressure Plate (or whoever as long as its heavy duty). PP being the important factor. I've never really beat on the stock clutch and I honestly dont really trust it and the street discs, heavy PP or not are mostly the same price as...
This is ridiculous. Hmm good think I didnt purposely seek usdm 550's.. By my power constraints I went with 6 free 3s 440's instead. Hmm. Kinda annoying though isnt it, I was gonna go to larger numbers @ years end so thanks for the info guys.
Heard many guys on here raving about stock clutch with a heavy duty PP.. That's what I was thinking of doing, but I think I'm going to go with an ACT 6 puck because all the drifters are pushing me into it haha. Anyhow, you can get a heavy duty PP through small clutch re-manufacturers etc for...
2 jap drifters I know swear by the GT30/40.. As do many aussies I know of that slide jza70's. I've learned to listen..
Then again ultimate power isn't the goal.
