I would say it's almost certain that there must be a serious leak somewhere.
You probably wouldn't even need to pressurize the system to find it. I bet the hole/rip in one of your couplers is very visible if you check them all over.
I watched the video again. Really nice... It's nice to know there are people willing to invest significant time, money, and energy into the 1J to get numbers like that.
Whether or not anyone with an MK3 has used the stock manifold is irrelevant. You don't have to use an FFIM. The piping is very similar to a 7M and nobody said you had to pay BL 1200 for a piping kit. Get it made elsewhere for cheaper.
A standalone would be best choice for any swap, anyway...
An NA-T swap may be similar in price to a GTE swap but what you're forgetting to mention is that when you finish an NA-T swap, you're already single turbo ready to make good power. Finish a GTE swap and you're still on stock twins then have to dump more money into it to upgrade from twins...
I agree. After doing the kw > hp conversion, before and after power is 152.2hp and 154.4hp respectively with the dynos being more than a year apart.
That isn't sufficient evidence that the 3in exhaust did anything at all.
I could dyno my car twice within 10 minutes and get results with more...
Don't know anything about 3S MAP sensors. Sorry.
Maybe borrow a Supra MAP from someone local and see what happens.
Or, tell us what the part number is and we could tell you if it's the same part. Never heard anyone using a 3S sensor before.
