but it doesnt last...... now if they come out with an engine to go in the z that is designed for boost like they did with the 300z's then that would probably hold up more hp than the n/a version does now when its boosted

yes a higher compression engine will make more hp than a lower compression engine both n/a and yes a higher compression engine will make more hp than a lower compression engine with boost.. but only the lower compression engine will last longer due to its designed to be boosted... cant we...

I think it is very worthy to be in a sports car..... plenty of potential.. theres alot of engines that make more hp than the 2j in na form... such as a 4.6 ford engine that comes in the mustangs.... he's just saying that its a good engine to be in that sports car... just like the 4.6 is a...

1jz is not a great engine to me since were on engines that we dont think is great.... not enough torque for me... and if you have to rebuild it well your in for some searching to find parts.... they all have there own little flaws... come on guys there are engines out there that are better...

^ you have to build the bottom end up if you want 600hp on the vq and we all know that the 2jz will hold up to more than that on the stock bottom end... heres what the guy from the shop that is doing this project had to say about the vq. this is from that thread and was posted from 180x...
