    Rice with spliced human genes

We've been splicing plants for thousands of years, the difference now is that they're adding human genes instead of a different plant.

Running hot. Can not figure out why. 2J MKIII... 240* on the highway

1JZ uses a sensor in the bottom of the radiator to control the hydrofan. Think it also gets commands from the ECU (for A/C and possibly overheat protection).

    Tapping

Funny, he's right, so long as the cooling circuit was upgraded. So long as operating temps are higher than ambient, the oil shouldn't be overheating so a 0w-30 is no thinner than a 10w-30. Now at start up is a different story.

One that is actually in contact with the coolant (like stock).

    mk4 brakes to mk3

Can read my post starting on this page: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?27659-MKIII-Wilwood-13-inch-4-piston-front-brakes/page24 and see the conversation. Dust boots aren't needed. Hell, you don't see dust boots on the hydraulic cylinders used on construction equipment...

Those stick in t-stats are garbage for that exact reason.

Boost creep over 14psi already?... is this normal for my setup?

Exhaust and IC piping will make a huge difference.

    Tapping

If it's ticking, it means the gap is too large, won't hurt anything (well, compared to a gap that's too small and keeps the valve from closing)

    mk4 brakes to mk3

They don't need dust boots because of their design.

    6m motor 7m crank pulley

Yes, 6M dampener is unique to the setup. The timing gear setup is a bit odd as well, you either machine a 5M lower timing gear shorter, or use a 7M lower timing gear, 7M oil pump gear (also need to use the shaft to clear the rods), and a 7M belt. The real issue is the accessories and lining...

    6m motor 7m crank pulley

6M motor: 5M head 5M pistons 6/7M crank 6/7M rods Blocks are the same. There are little things that will drive you nuts about the motor as it's a transitional motor and some things are half 5M and half 7M. One of the best threads on the subject is here...

How is a clutch fan loud? Maybe when it's locking up and doing it's job. Not like you're going to be hearing it over anything else on the car (namely exhaust)

HID Installation, now light wont flip up

Yeha, the issue is you end up aiming them down, which increases your foreground lighting and kills your night vision. Makes it harder to see :( Don't even need super high end halogens, just normal H4 bulbs from a good company (stay away from blue coatings!).

Best of luck to anyone in Japan...

I don't claim them... Hell, some people still run around with Confederate flags. Probably the same inbred idiots that posted those remarks. I'm wondering how they figured out how to use a computer though...

HID Installation, now light wont flip up

While I will say I did this myself, I will save you the hassle I had and tell you to return the HID's. Even with E-codes you're going to glare (because the kits are TERRIBLE about aligning the bulb) and you'll have shadows in the beam that you wouldn't have with the proper halogen bulb. Not to...
