I would say for you goals run dual walbro's in tank, 10 feed split to two -8 dual feeding the rail with a -6 return, 1000 cc injectors, Aeromotive FPR and of course one of my custom 2J top feed fuel rails :icon_bigg
Quoted for the truth!
It is cheaper to go NA-T 2JZ because money saved in the initial engine cost is put towards performance parts that you would ultimately buy for the GTE. Standalone is the only way to go when building a high horsepower street car and would be needed for either engine when...
The heat wrap does do a great job but make sure you dont wrap mild steel as it will trap the moisture and rust out your DP. Ceramic coating is great too just more costly. Exhaust piping should be stainless anyway as it tends to hold in the heat better than mild steel anyway and is less prone to...
Looks good. The only problem is that the angle of the two manifolds is different so the 2J manifold will be cocked to one side. the only way to get the 2J manifold to sit right is to mate the lower runners which flows fine if you do a good job mating them together or if you machine the proper...
Do you know what killed the rod bearings in your 7M? Was it oiling related or a tuning issue causing the engine to detonate, thus killing the rod bearings?
I had issues with the MSD boxes on my car as well as a few others. They are unreliable and had quite a few misfire problems. I had my DIS4 sent back with a defect when it was brand new. Im running the AEM box with no problems and quite a few of my friends are running LS1 coils with out any...
Do yourself a favor and dont run the MSD ignition box with the haltech. You will have nothing but problems. I suggest that you run either the stock 2J ignitor with and HKS DLI or switch to LS1 coils. you will be much happier in the end.
You spend more money on it of course! Ive been having thoughts of selling lately due to lack of interest and Im losing the desire to have a car that is more race car than street car so I went ahead and dumped more money into it. Ive decided to at least keep it until Vegas after which it will...
the carbonetic/ATS tripple is a bad ass clutch. My friend has one in his MK4 with over 700rwhp and has had no issues. He has been beating the piss out of it for almost 2 years now.
I think you misunderstood. I agree that it is lame that he used those pics. I also dont agree with people on here just jumping on the bandwagon to bash the guy for every little thing. Your best bet is to e-mail him and ask him to remove the pics.
I dont understand why he used the photo's either. For all I know his current #s could be BS and I havent seen the car for a long time. My point was that he isnt some noob. He has been in the supra game for a long time and was making good power back when 400+ was considered alot.
trust me, he's not a noob. I know him and is car was making good power before many of you knew what a supra was. I dont know why he used someone elses pics but I have personally seen the car make over 400rwhp on a very basic set up back in the late 90's when I was still rockin a good ole 7M.
I see where the confusion is here. You are reffering to the IDCR witch is some drift series I never heard of before now. I am refering to the IDRC which is the import drag racing series. I did go to the IDRC event but was unable to bring my supra as I had shoulder surgery 2 days prior:cry:
Traction is what he needs. I was running low 14s with similar mph back in the day. Also LACR where he raced is high elevation, he would run about 2-3 mph faster at sea level.
