ok, i made a decision. i found some 03 cobra wheels at a good price. they are 17x9 +24 with a 275-40, and 17x10.5 +27 with a 315-35. my car is stock ride height, so hopefully they will fit ok.
wish me luck.
this is the same setup i want to get. i will have 10.5 rims though. what will it...
really? i checked out a few pics in other threads, and they look like they stick out a bit. if they'll fit with a fender roll, i'm definitely getting them.
now, how to get these to fit...........

i'm pretty sure that's fine.. i think the stock oil pressure at idle is around 4 pounds. i may be a little off, but someone will chime in that knows for sure.
yeah, that's not working for me. lol
i have my heart set on running a meaty tire out back. hopefully someone will chime in that has done it. i don't mind rolling and pulling, but i don't want to run overs.
love that car. i was going to run slicks and skinnies, but i think i want a setup like his. i just want to get the widest tire i can under there.
thanks for the pic.
those 315's stick out too far. is there any room on the inside for a better offset wheel? i'm looking at the fr500 wheels, but i really don't think a 315 will fit under mk3 fenders. somebody please prove me wrong. lol
i had 962's 0n my 240. they were 18x7.5 and 18x9.5, with 225-40's and 265-35's. if i had it to do again, i'd go with an 8.5 up front.
if i can't find some decent used wheels, i'll be getting the 962's for my supra.
