    ***The Teal Supras Thread***

Thanks -- yeah, lots of little changes here and there. Trying to keep it mostly stock body still. Technically only the Bomex lip is the only non-stock part, but people who don't know the mk3 think it was an option anyway since it's painted flat black.

Another ?? about wheels! Great Deal!!

Wow. So much misinformation in this thread. I have to get to work, otherwise I'd go through my wheel rant, otherwise you can just do a search on socalsupras. I've posted the formula quite a few times. Couple of points: * stock 16x7 sawblades or 5-spoke are pretty close to +50 offset...

    Wheel Spacers

Cool, thanks for the info guys. I did end up trying it, and while it did look exactly like I was hoping, I didn't get enough revolutions around the stud for me to feel comfortable with it... sooo... I guess when I get around to doing the BBK, I'll throw in some studs, and just live with it for...

    Wheel Spacers

Ok fellas, just got done with searching the various forums and still curious of other people's experience. I'd like to run a 5mm spacer in front but I'd like to know ahead of time if this will necessitate a longer stud. I'm using tuner-style acorn seat lugs. The reason i ask is spacers alone...

Anybody ever seen or purchased VIS carbon fiber products??

I've seen a lot of VIS hoods on a lot of cars -- for the most part, like everyone says, the fitment and finish quality is awesome for the money. BUT -- you have to ask what your primary purpose is in getting a carbon fiber hood, and that brings me to the biggest fault in VIS and SEIBON hoods...

my new 92 Supra pic thread

the signal covers just weren't meant to be. That's ok, on my white car i hit a dip, which moved my bomex bumper, which popped my grill out that had the "2.5 TWINturbo" emblem. Twice. So I actually purchased 3 during my white car ownership, which is why I don't even care that even the...

    need some wheel help......

I have seen 285 on a 17x8, but it bulges a bit -- the more important fitment question is what the offset is on your 17x8, which will be a bigger determining factor. FYI, it varies from tire brand to brand, but for the most part 245/45 looks "square" on a 17x8. -Ray

    Whats your system?

Currently in between systems, but last time in the Supra: Eclipse AV8533 video head unit DLS UR36S 3-way components in the front Eclipse reference in the rear (only used for surround audio during movies or DVD-A) Eclipse 10" 7108DVC each front channel powered by a single DLS A2 bridged into...

    Soapra build thread!

No confusion, you're right -- Jose lost the 90n/a four months after I lost the 89T, and you showed up in between those four months at some point. So timeline goes something like... Jose got his 90 n/a when I still had an 86.5 n/a, and then I got my 89T probably around when you got your 92...

    I got WORKed.

Thanks for the compliments! I got them through an importer, but not directly through Work (I don't think Work Wheels USA distributes the VS-SS, only the VS-XX). The paint is original, i got the car not too long ago with only 98k miles from an original owner who garaged it most of the time, and...

    I got WORKed.

Thanks! It's taken a long time to find a keeper. The motor is actually in Driftmotion's possession, and not actually in the car. =P Since pulling it out of my previous mk3 and getting this one (my 5th) I haven't done the swap yet. -Ray
